  • i never used Reddit, but came from 9gag here in the search for something where you can actually filter the content. being foss and decentralized (both of which I'm a huge fan) was an added bonus

  • i used snap cast for a while and am really happy with it. just finding the right hardware is a struggle for me (in particular the dac and speaker part). I'll read your article later, i hope there are some clues about this :)

  • that is a good way. so people who don't want to see it, can easily filter it.

  • i think that is were tagging comes in handy

  • that screams of Rebecca

  • i wonder how many of this "clicks" are actually ai generated themselves to promote the use of AI in said videos Oo

  • I remember just recently a post about a "smart" washing machine creating over 3GB of Internet traffic per day.

  • i don't know why, but most of those comics meaning elude me. could somebody please illuminate me of what's going on here?

  • i haven't seen "real snow" in Germany in years (in my definition that is enough to pick it up and form a snowball).

  • good that i have mentally blacklisted those companies ages ago. but i also don't mind, they anyway don't publish anything remotely interesting

  • my wife and i use owntracks for address now. it's a pretty easy setup, bit can be expended at will. the confusing part at the beginning is just that there is no actual "owntracks server".

what you do is: set up a mqtt server, of you don't have one already (e.g. mosquitto) and install the owntracks app on the devices.

  • you guys still got friends?

  • we got our cat from a shelter with only one eye. since he is a typical orange, the googly eyes would actually fit well :)

  • isn't json already a human readable format? ;) ok, jokes aside. to parse a file interactively, like i need to extract some information now, i use Julia, because I'm working with it anyway. that's of course not very practical for automation scripts. most convenient would be a language that is already incorporated in your setup. otherwise i usually end up with a bash script with some jq calls.

  • already using it

  • can't have it all ;)

  • Just wear it the other way around...

  • Square roots are not necessary real though... :p
