  • Awesome, I wish you the best, we need more people to get involved in nuclear power, myself included. Opponents point to older designs and point at the Chernobyl or Three Mile Island and think that can happen at any moment, which they can't. I think we have an obligation to dispel that fear because the designs we build today are better.

  • I wonder how many of those that died in France during this heat wave think about that idea.

  • How does Germany handle the green house gas waste produced by coal power plants?

  • You would actually be able to design them to be much simpler without the smoke stack as well. Several major design benefits that would trade off the management of nuclear fuel handling. The handling of the core could be such that it's contained during the entire swap out procedure for safety, so no radiation exposure occurs, and the vehicle wouldn't need to wait long.

  • Yea we've already made nuclear powered ships and submarines. It's very possible, and moving forward because of climate change, it will be a necessity to produce the power we need with no carbon emissions.

  • I hosted Qwen 3.5 9b uncensored on my site at https://masland.tech/ for a while. I didn't really use it and no one else used it so I took it down. These days I'm spending most of my time finding uses for AI and accessibility. One of the next things I'm planning is a video to text reasoning system, primarily for the purpose of grading used electronic devices.

  • $399, what? This is tech from over a decade ago, there are smart phones that sell for under $100. Seems like a stupid gimmick only wealthy parents will buy for their kids.

  • In a "free market" it would be a worrying sign that the government can just tell one of the highest valued corporations "nope, we're not permitting you to do that, your entire business model is dictated by us". But we don't have a free market, and the stock market doesn't represent the reality of the situation, just like how valuations of AI companies keep going up even though something like GLM-5.2 exists. I think investors are probably just dumb, and we're in a bubble.

  • The fact that there wasn't a bigger sell off when they banned Fable 5 is ridiculous. The stock market doesn't represent real conditions at all.

  • They said learn to code. 😂

  • Something that may be profitable to some may be costly to others. Like solar power is to coal companies.

  • That's this universe we live in, the powers that be actively fighting progress, yet progress still is made. I'm grateful to those who progress technology and apply it to benefit humanity. The Drump administration just keeps losing.

  • Good, we shouldn't be building any new data centers at all.

  • I wasn't able to find anything that confirms "knew and funded" as true. To state the facts which is all we need to know is that Trump called Palm Beach police in 2006 and said “everyone” knew Epstein was abusing young girls. Also Trump said he was never on Epstein's plane which is a proven lie.

There's no need to push beyond what's already proven verifiable facts. Trump is a liar, was on Epstein's plane many times, and was close friends with known pedophile Epstein. That's enough fact to know he's a disgusting lying fuck.

  • We have a pedophile for president, the entire legal system is a joke anyway.

  • It's a huge waste of money at this point, and the technology will become rapidly antiquated. The depreciation will be insanely high, while the software that's requires it becomes much more efficient. At this point we already have enough data centers, we just need more efficient software and smarter usage.

  • That's fair, as long as it's recognized that it's that way for now, and rapidly changing.
