  • If this, republican majority impeached him, then the senate would definitely convict. In that case Trump is no longer the president.

    The past two times dems held the house, but not the senate, so Republicans in the senate prevented a conviction.

    Impeachment means there is evidence of misconduct (at a significant level). Senate conviction means you're out as president.

    At that point I feel like you may as well just use makefiles. Did that at an old company, it had params for local deployment testing vs CICD. This also let's you define how you break the local deployment tests, as usually you can't really fully test a CICD locally.

  • If they can deport someone without validating their residency status (due process) , what's to stop them from deporting citizens "on accident".

    Additionally, they're ignoring the courts (for now). If the courts don't escalate and/or Trump/Republicans don't back down, then this is a really worrying precedent to allow and would effectively allow Republicans to "dissappear" anyone they wanted.

    Feels like the end of due process and move to effective dictatorship, but others might draw the line somewhere else. What happened at Gitmo was very dictatorship, but wasn't done to US citizens or people "technically" in the US.

  • I think the easiest way would be to have two vlans on your local network. One that is connected to the internet and another that is local only. I think you'd have to switch networks when wanting to access the jellyfin server in that instance, but would negate the main issue, which is your VPN.

    Edit: that's about the most secure you can get I think. If you bought a different physical router to host it, you'd have about as secure a setup as possible.

  • It's a terribly biased design and makes me question their reporting skills. Anyone knows if you have to show a default value it should be placed in a neutral position, otherwise you bias the poll/study/etc.

    The default being all the way to the left isn't good.
