  • It happens periodically with any digital store because that's the risk with being leased content from a digitial storefront. They may, due to licensing issues, remove content or the store may shutdown preventing you from accessing your content.

    Something like the giving tree has some good staying power and discuss concepts that should be beneficial across time/cultures/religions.

  • These are the kinds of things I bring up when talking to people about using LLMs. Sure for short simple logic the room for ambiguity is small, but for more complex systems, the benefit of programming it is to be explicit. Prompts != programming as they don't produce deterministic outputs and can lead to faulty outcomes (even if they run).

    As for quantum computers, there is some debate, but a number of companies have "quantum computers" but it's arguable if they work correctly and they have limited Q-bits meaning they can't do anything of significance yet.

  • This isn't the first game to do this, this has been happening for a while. Switch had a number of games where you only got a digital download code and PC games were doing that for years before they stopped having physical releases.

  • I think I this is talking about when the stock was generally available vs its "IPO". The general public could start buying the stock on Friday June 12th. From what I can see the price opened around $160 on Friday (seems like somewhere between $150-160).

    The $135 price wasn't available to everyone.

  • Audiobookshelf, Its designed for audiobooks and its folder structure is unintuitive, but it's got the best website and apps of all the ones I've tried (including kogma).

    I messed around with a couple of different approaches (Calibre web, kogma, etc.), but the best all around experience I have had is Audiobookshelf. Kogma is probably better if just doing manga, but Audiobookshelf has worked the best for hosting comics/manga/ebooks. The only real annoying things is the folder structure. I've needed to use some scripts to reorganize/rename files so it handles them correctly.

  • I mean, I think you explain the reasoning in your own comment, the writing (at least in the English translation for me) was so rough that I couldn't get into it. I can't say I hated it, I just never got far into it because it couldn't keep my attention.

    I'm surprised to hear someone say the poor writing was a plus for them. Why did that make you enjoy it more?

  • I can understand not liking Waiita (sp?) humor/direction. The issue with Thor 4 was the Waiita was even less restrained, I think audiences mostly liked a touch of his humor/direction in 3, but it was way too much in 4.

    Essentially, what you probably hated in 3 was dialed up even more in 4.

    I wish things like rounding up people illegally and detaining them in concentration camps was enough, but it seems like conservatives in america aren't swayed by those kinds of abuse of power.
