  • I've been saying this a couple places recently, but why not pass legislation requiring every site to provide a content rating. Then parents can choose if they want to restrict content by ratings or not. Yeah, you could have malicious actors, but it makes it easier and simpler for everyone to work than having ID laws.

  • Zip ties (or other things to tie cables together) are your friend. It helps with cable management a lot. Also, it's typical for cases to have spaces for wiring to go "behind" the motherboard so the wiring isn't allover the place inside the case.

Take your time and read the wiring instructions. In most cases you can't screw up, but some of the indicator lights/usb plugs can be interchangeable.

    Don't forget the thermal paste!!!

  • Yeah, I don't know why this is so difficult. Can even have players that autoread the signature to tell you the source/etc.

  • I like how someone downvoted your for this opinion.

  • I mean, it's gotta be hard trying to keep up with it all. I think he may have bit off more than he can chew.

  • I mean both parties have pretty much done it already. Republicans with Reagan https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/ronald-reagan-alzheimers-disease/ and democrats with Biden.

To be honest it's pretty obvious they're already doing it with Trump given that he clearly isn't mentally or physically well. The guy can't talk coherently, he's certainly not the person really running things.

  • I'm pretty sure more than 1/3 of Americans have little to no understanding of inflation.

  • I mean, it was, by the time Trump took office the inflation numbers were almost back to normal. They're jumping up again because we elected someone who doesn't care about America.

The issue is that people kept believing that inflation going down would mean prices would go down, but that's not how any of this works.

  • I'm not even sure the regulators exist at all anymore.

  • That's exactly how H1-Bs are setup in the US, but they just game the system.

    A lot of tactics I've seen/heard are:

    • Making fake job postings to show high demand
    • Bad job descriptions or unrealistic job descriptions to show low supply
    • Really fudging salary numbers.
  • From the one episode I saw - yes.

Im personally very wary of getting invested in it cause I'm afraid it will just keep upping the ante without answering anything, but my friends who have watched it said that it does seem to have a direction and does actual address things.

  • Yeah, I was upset they didnt continue John Carter, it was just a fun zany scifi movie. I think it was the advertising that killed it, but if they had stuck with it I think it could have done well.

  • Yeah, I think it's actually envy with a side of pragmatism (he envies that everyone likes superman and wants that power, but also legitimately fears what a bad superman could do). But Xenophobic is just a funny way to phrase it.

  • Largely because it's a bit valid to be concerned that the indestructible alien could decide he's bored serving the world and just take it over.

Xenophobic Lex is just a compelling villain, a bit like doom. Someone who has a sound reason for their actions, but usually takes really questionable routes.

  • Hmm, I think the family leading up to the show seems like it might be kinda Arrested Development, but during the show I don't think they really ever do anything "evil".

  • Looks like there is a config and cache location in their docker scripts. The easiest way to make a docker application portable is to bind mount the config and cache. That way you have access to the actual files and could copy them to your windows partition.

If you're already using a volume for that data, I think it becomes a bit trickier. I know technically you can move or copy volumes, but I've never tried. Although you could still bind mount a random directory and still copy the files out.

  • I just struggle with how you can vote down things like Medicare/Medicare (or free meals for kids, etc) and think you're a good person. Especially because they cut all of that for tax breaks and higher government spending, so it's not even a deficit issue.
