Failing optimist, can code poorly.🇵🇸 Saoirse don Phalastín! 🇵🇸Previously @irelephant@lemm.ee.

  • Hey, that's a blog post from months ago. It no longer applies, hosting a relay can be done for $34 a month now.

  • Because it is decentalised, and beats the fediverse in many aspects.

  • I literally only use them when testing.

  • Sorry, I meant in i2p

  • Could you be responsible for what someone else does while your using the network then?

  • I meant the guy in the picture, but thanks anyway

  • At most, make it have a machine-readable json-ld representation.

  • Wafrn lets you put in an unlimited amount of them.

  • This is something that ATproto would do better than AP, imo.

Would the extra fields in your piefed bio work?

  • I literally have no idea what this picture means, and at this point I'm too afraid to ask.

  • Every old-ish person I know has thousands of YouTube and Gmail notifications

  • oh yeah, probably should have linked it.

  • What do you mean by real federation?

  • A lot of people's research about bluesky is just the "How decentralised is bluesky really?" article by Christine lemmer-webber.While the article was good at the time, and still has some relevant parts, a lot has changed since then.

Namely, relays got cheaper to run (about $30 a month).Right now the problem is that everyone uses bluesky's infrastructure (and PDS migration is a bit spotty, but bluesky is working on that).

Also: AP is pain. The spec was rushed and doesn't include a lot of key details. Atproto was better thought out (at least in my opinion).

  • That was an hours long Amazon/MS teams ad.

If stopping an alien invasion involved teams in any way the aliens would win.

  • The Percy Jackson one is just terrible. They left out so much stuff, like the mist.

    Edit; autocorrect

  • Yes, SQL is but a toy language. It probably will never make it into production.

  • I have 4 users blocked, one instance and 4 communities.
