I made a frontend for Instagram, and the code is similarly dogshit. Hashtags have IDs, which are fetched, then the hashtag is fetched with that id. Also, Instagram rapidly spams itself with requests of you try to browse comments when logged out
Even if bluesky's main servers had an outage, I would be unaffected since my account is on a different instance. Most users wouldn't be reachable tho, since they're on bluesky's servers.
