  • Sound like it's using cpu and not gpu?

  • Yes! There is a trash in case I need an image back. At leats it should only ask once per session, not for every single image.

  • Nice find! But that is also already toggled.

  • That is already set

    immich help

  • For me, the post does neither address the question, nor the answer. What is the problem? What is the solution?

Don’t just use Mastodon. Own it. The fediverse is living proof that the technical side of this already works, what’s missing is the people side.

What's wrong with mastodon? Most people don't want to be invested in anything with it. I use mastodon once every other month. I don't want to spend 5 bucks per month or own it. I don't want to participate. I'm fine with rochko doing whatever he wants. What's wrong with it?

  • I'll read it later but can it be summed up into one or two sentences?

  • Yes, but that's not going to happen. Proton vendor locks you in the sense that they don't use open standards.

  • This sounds like a rant from an openai investor that there is someone who offeres his product - which is roughly the same as the author's (financer's) product - for free for anyone who is willing to host it himself.

Open source is good and not a bad business idea. Open weights is better than fully closed source. Share stuff that you can share and work together, not against each other.

Do I praise chinese products? No. But chinese is not worse than american products from an european perspective nowadays.

  • Thx.

  • Is karousel on kde already as good as paperwm on gnome?

  • Why not usb stick?

  • Iirc, you can't have two distinct sets of bookmarks. My "work" profile has to have the same bookmarks as my "private" one.

  • Nice.

There's also a gnome extension for a button in the top bar. But only for the old profiles, not the new ones (not that I wanted the trashy new ones anyway)

  • Firefox on linux with a gnome/gtk file picker uploaded the geo location.

Meaning, this bad behavior will stay for the next years as a feature. I'll look into cloud storages again for sharing images. I hope that works.

  • I clarified my post. Thx for sharing your experience. I feel dumb for having used immich with friends a couple of times to collect images and now only my images have geo locations (because the photos were uploaded via the app, not web)

    Edit:

Does that mean that it's not immich's fault but androids? Only androids (5 different ones) were uploading so far.

  • I clarified my post. All good. I can't help either

  • I don't actually use reitti but I set it up and it always runs. I love it. Updating worked easily after reading the release notes. The new look is amazing. Stats are nice. Thx!

  • The name sounds like an archive of failed products to me
