  • I just tried that now (didn't know it was a thing) and it's not a very satisfactory solution if I'm moving monitors. When I get it to where I want, I can't just double-click to max it again like I can dragging the title bar. Can't say I'll use that.

  • Their SSO is a burning dumpster fire and has been for years. IDK what intern they had write that mess.

  • That's hardly original, I first heard that theory floated when WSL came out.

  • I ran Sailfish on an Xperia for a couple years, I was pissed off when I broke that phone past the point of using it. I like the UX of Sailfish a lot. It was a bit rough running Android apps then though, so hopefully that's improved.

  • This probably takes into account the losses on the exporting countries side having to lower prices to compete against domestic industries supplying the same product. But usually what happens there is the domestic industries raise their prices (and profits) to match instead of the other way around.

  • Alternatively, use Gear Lever for managing Appimages.

  • I remember being able to install Affinity via wine quite a while ago, I think they made some changes that broke that. Good to see someone has gotten it working again.

  • “I can’t believe he would do that to us,” said Shirley Adams, the Republican mayor

Oh, god, stop, please. My sides are hurting, Shirley.

  • Huh, the Garveneer is in Shroud as well, which I'm reading right now.

  • 99% of people who can read code are only going to catch obvious things like cryptominers. Most aren't going to catch something like the XZ malware that was an entirely serendipitous finding from timing how long a certain part of the process took and noticing it was off. True malware is using unique loopholes and malformed requests that will get past nearly everyone.

There really needs to be a concentrated effort put into vetting code, but of course, funding for that is non-existent. 60% of code in the wild is maintained by hobbyists getting paid almost nothing. We're screwed.

  • Best we can do is subsidize the price of them coming from slave labor factories and drive all the competition out of the markets so domestic production is destroyed.

  • That my knees were going to go to shit, and carrying a backpack through the mountains needs good knees. Fuck, I miss those trips.

  • Hey, we Scots were progressive that way too! Did some of our best mangling and hacking in a skirt.

Romans put up a wall so we didn't horn in on their fashion scene.

  • My dad taught me things about driving that have, without a doubt, saved my life on more than one occasion.

  • Create a cloud flare accounts and change the name servers at you current registrars to what cloudflare gives you when you try to migrate. Its best practice to split up registrar and DNS anyway. then create an API token so your reverse proxy can build records and certbot a new cert.
