There is no rule about advertising in the sidebar. I'm personally fine with it. If it weren't advertised here, I might never hear about projects to be honest. Almost everything I'm hosting right now came about because I heard about it on a forum.
I never said I spent a particularly long time "staring" at my wallpaper.
I also don't spend a long time looking at the wallpaper on my phone, but I still like to decide what it looks like and customize/personalize it.
I see my computer desktop at boot up. Before and after starting games, usually. I have two monitors, and the side one is not always filled. For that matter, my main monitor is 4k but I don't ever have one single thing full screen, so usually have windows staggered or tiled and bits of desktop are often poking through.
Yes, it's much better for me. Animated, or even reactive wallpapers, have stepped up my desktop personalization so much, I don't really care to go back to boring still images.
I have a hard time believing all banks, including local credit unions, will simultaneously adopt this tech. And if they all do, maybe will I have to consider cash after all. But in the meantime, I'll switch to a banking solution that doesn't.
There's no supposing necessary. It was a fire hazard, and presently not eventually. When something has caused a fire, it's no longer a hazard, it's just, you know, a fire.
If my cat had her way, she would 1,000% over eat herself into morbid obesity and a very early grave. I limit her feeding because I know that this would be very bad for her longevity. Clearly, I abuse my cat.

If your cat is stressed by being leashed, it is absolutely something to work up towards and train for.
I strongly encourage you, and everyone else reading, you speak to a vet about the risks of outdoor living for a cat, and to read about the impact they have on the ecosystem around you.
How can you possibly know if they ever had close calls with cars or animals in 8 to 9 years of unsupervised, free roaming time outside? Also, isn't this very post about your cat having a potential close call with something, and you not knowing what it could have been? How could you possibly make that assertion?
But besides that, I cannot emphasize enough, it only takes once.

Cats being happier outdoors is entirely unfounded. Cats live incredibly fulfilling and happy lives indoors when properly cared for and stimulated, and crucially, much longer lives on average. Asserting that it's abuse to keep a cat indoors is absurd and no credible vet on earth would agree with that assertion. Furthermore, if you truly believe your cats will be happier exploring outside, then they can go for supervised walks on a leash.
