  • Really neat of you to do and to share, thanks. Not to sound ungrateful, but honest question... What good are these numbers if they are the floor?

    Edited to add: filthy clanker.

  • Edit: Adding this to My flilters in uBlock Origin seems to fix the issue for the time being:

    ||reddit.com^$header=referer:

No bueno here, it just redirected me to a blank page. Still couldn't use old reddit.

  • Would love to have a viable alternative to r/bapcsalescanada on Piefed.

  • Well, except that I'm theory, owning a lot of shares in a company gives you some leverage over that company to drive its policies and direction.

  • I mean, I guess I'm not informed enough to know. I just know that this one has a GUI, and certain automation functions. I got it all set up and now I don't even have to think about it, it just downloads my desired YT vids, which then get scanned by Jellyfin and show up there, which is what OP wanted. 🤷

  • I'll just quote myself from above:

I appreciate the consumers’ rights stuff that he does, and I even agree with most of his talking points, but it was starting to feel like all he did was rant. I got enough stuff bringing me down in life these days that I just stopped feeling his stuff.

I feel like Jayz can be ranty too, but he's got a little better attitude about things. And Hardware Unboxed reports on stuff as well, but doesn't feel as ranty to me. Again, just for me personally, his vibe brings me down too much and I got a lot going on, y'know? I can only control what I can control, and all that.

  • When they fight, are they noisy? Like yowling, hissing, screeching, etc? Or do they tussle and rumble, but make no noises?

The former is bad; that's real fighting. The latter is play.

Because you do mention stalking and hissing in your post, I am concerned it's the former. Unfortunately, although cats are social creatures, that doesn't mean they all get along. Just like people, cats have personalities and sometimes they clash. They may ultimately be incompatible.

  • I suppose but I still like watching Hardware Unboxed and the occasional Jayz.

  • Veritasium is majority owned by private equity now, fyi. I just found out myself the other day.

  • He's gotten just a little too edgy/ranty for me. Like, I appreciate the consumers' rights stuff that he does, and I even agree with most of his talking points, but it was starting to feel like all he did was rant. I got enough stuff bringing me down in life these days that I just stopped feeling his stuff.

  • From the article:

Hate, unfortunately, sells. Right-wing extremism researcher Kaz Ross told ABC that Meta’s “financial model is to reward content creators who get engagement, and as we know, the best way of getting engagement is to produce rage bait, extremist material, aggravating material: anything that will get people upset and arguing is the best way to get engagement.”

It’s another example of how quickly Meta dropped its once-stricter content moderation policies when Donald Trump returned to the White House. Shortly before his second inauguration, Meta loosened its standards around hate speech, particularly on topics like gender identity and immigration, two of the far right’s favorite issues.

  • CNC machine that prints

I think printers are just CNC machines that print.

  • Circling back to the point of this post though, genAI learnt that from real people's writing first.

  • I mean, how do you "average out" accents?

  • Saying "generic American accent" is about as valuable as someone doing a cockney accent and saying it's generic British.

  • Americans would rather have thought crime and mass surveillance than give up their guns, because they need those guns to combat a tyrant or fascist.

So anyway, how's USA's government going these days? Surely not fascist or tyrannical with all those guns around, right?

    Right?

  • The phrase "all one has to do" implies ease.
