  • 32 of these are apparently up for re-election.

Any appropriate action to take here? As a North Carolinian, I’m stuck with Don Davis. I wonder if it’s any good to vote in these establishment Dems if they’re just going to go full GOP on us anyway. I’m not even sure if the alternative is going to be worse or better.

Fuck man, I wish 3rd parties were viable.

  • This guy needs a missile pointed at his face.

  • Our “checks and balances” are nothing but paper machê walls. We don’t prevent corruption or punish public servants. We don’t go after rich people bribing politicians. We should be stripping both of their wealth and publicly humiliating them. We should be preventing those in public office from having outside financial interests. We should be able to recall representatives regardless of how much of their term they have left. SCOTUS judges need term limits.

  • What the founders set up 250 years ago is irrelevant to the present. They would’ve never seen this coming, and they were too concerned with the property rights of male, slave-owning property owners.

  • Well, we have an executive branch that doesn’t care about the law. He’s a felon, rapist, pedo and kleptocrat who only cares about using tax dollars to enrich himself, since he’s a failed real estate mogul and a loser.

  • They’re going to pass the SAVE act if they go back into session, and a handful of Dems will support it to please their conservative districts.

A Dem elected by conservatives is just a GOP plant.

  • It just isn’t the politician themselves. El-Sayed is a winner because of his platform, and he isn’t bought off by AIPAC and the corporate establishment.

That’s all the people want. They want representation that actually represents their interests, not more corrupt establishment politicians that take orders from oligarchs and corporate boardrooms.

They don’t want drone strikes, wars on false pretenses, bailouts of financial institutions, genocide, half-assed capitalist attempts at healthcare reform, and zero accountability for corrupt politicians. When Bernie came along and said we need to remove money from politics. DING DING DING we have a winner!

That was NOT Hilary or Kamala.

I’ll keep voting blue, because I don’t have a viable choice and I don’t want to cast my vote directly for fascists. Not voting is just another vote for fascism. But damn, we need better candidates. With “allies” like Hakeem Jeffries, who needs enemies?

  • Why open your wallet, Muskrat? You know the voting machines really well.

  • With Congress, the GOP and dempublicans will just keep passing more stuff that hurts us.

  • No one is telling anybody not to vote. I think most of us here, if not all, are going to vote. And most will probably be voting blue, despite objections of a lot of us having establishment dem candidates.

We just don’t have a lot of confidence in how this is going to turn out. It doesn’t look good at all.

  • He’d be a terrible as a socialist politician. Corrupt and inept. It’s people like him that allow the right to paint the left with a broad brush.

Unfortunately, California can’t seem to escape the constant succession of shit governors.

  • A deeply incompetent individual who wasted tens of billions of tax dollars meant for public projects that failed. Also a corporate shill and bought off by government worker employee unions in order to support a $265 billion unfunded pension liability the state won’t be able to pay off. It’s a widely abused system where people get 110% of their income for the rest of their life and many double-dip to get two pensions. All private workers are stuck struggling and their retirement future is not so bright. Yet, California manages to have some of the highest tax rates and fees in the nation. So if they’re not openly corrupt, it’s definitely implied.

Socialism works when it’s run by competent, ethical individuals. Unfortunately, there are no legal consequences to bad actors who use their political office for financial gains.

  • Don’t underestimate the lethality of a scared, cornered animal.

  • Psyop propaganda to justify throwing the election.

These fascist fucks already know what they’re going to do.

  • I mean…. Do we really want them working in order to do even more damage?

At this point, Congress as a whole seems to be hurting us a lot more than helping us.

  • This was the entire point. Nullify the DOJ to create immunity, and disregard the law themselves. Then twist it and weaponize it towards the people opposing them.

This is where we’re at. Remember when we were screaming about project 2025 and everyone was trying to tell us to calm down, saying “They’d never be able to do that?”

    Well, they did it.

Fascists don’t seize power all at once. They test, backtrack and go two steps forward. They utilize the boiling frog effect.

  • Voting blue
