  • My parents love JFK Jr and Diana. Idk the former’s reasoning but it really is true that we love royalty

  • Still a fair amount of people who know X is a nazi bar but still use it.

    • X is too popular / addictive
    • Alternatives are considered non-viable on a recommendation and feed algorithm basis
    • There are ideological barriers to alternatives. (Lemmy is an example)
  • jfc The Boys was an actual documentary.

  • fr opting into dna surveillance sucks 🙈

  • The clean-room approach created a novel legal puzzle. Gergely Orosz (The Pragmatic Engineer) observed that Anthropic faces a dilemma: a Python rewrite constitutes a new creative work potentially outside DMCA reach. If Anthropic claims the AI-generated transformative rewrite infringes copyright, it could undermine their own defense in training-data copyright cases - the same argument that AI-generated outputs from copyrighted inputs constitute fair use.

The only moral justification for an AI rewrite. Love it.

  • this is just… misinformation. At best, a loosely carried out statistics experiment.

  • the article was made by an ai describing ai bros scamming each other. Ironic.

  • To be fair the heritage foundation earned a little credit

  • Yeah. I had a locker next to the school’s music room in the farthest corner once. Fun year.

  • Comparing learning methods and then associating their benefits with the technology feels… fallacious.

For this reason I actually recommend a cheap Android tablet for digital note taking since it is well worth the price. I used to carry paper with me, but having the ability to quickly review notes across several classes (lectures and books) is a game changer. Need to know what was discussed last week? What you took on a topic? It’s very cumbersome with paper.

I feel like ‘technology’ is different when you actually own the tech you’re given. When you can do things with it. Not when it’s a digital casino in your pocket controlled by big corporations.

  • I’ve tripped my breaker doing stuff like that.

  • So, what happens now? Will anything change? The administration has made it clear they are fascists and do not care about checks and balances.

  • They’re competing for government contracts and tax payer money, right?
