  • i don't think an old win10 installer would work, microsoft blocked the w7/8/8.1 upgrade path on their servers

  • KMS is microsoft's method of product activation mostly for organizations, they can run an activation server inside an intranet for instance. Also widely used for pirating windows since it's easy to run one of those kms emulators

https://massgrave.dev/ is a fairly recent development, they have a tool called MAS that can activate windows/office/etc using many methods including KMS

  • i'm still using an 2013 phone. the touch panel is kinda fucked and I do have a replacement phone already but I'm too used to it, so probably gonna use it till it physically breaks down or the cell towers die. would be cool af if i can make it till 2038 lol

  • would be nice if it's possible to use mlmym with piefed... luckily it seems like boost and voyager now works tho

  • fyi it's uBlock Origin!

  • wdym? isnt it just some weird hairstyle?

  • bro is still running linux 2.6

  • well I just find mavericks aesthetically pleasing and efficient for certain tasks (mainly doing document work without being distracted)

  • the mac mini would be a great osx mavericks machine btw

  • generally wine's goal is compatibility with windows, so if your program works on windows but not on wine it's considered a bug, though there's obviously no guarantee the wine devs would fix it soon or ever.

  • voyager on recent phone, boost on ancient phone

  • similar stuff, impossible to reliably search and so many things gone after a while. i'm even thinking of setting up a personal instance and having it ignore post removal requests...

  • some also uses illumos :)

  • I need keyboard shortcuts that actually work, and I hate large padding/whitespaces/circled borders that do nothing.. I like having grey-ish background instead of white. Seems like many people consider this "old fashioned" and hate it.

For desktop things should just fit well enough on 1280x1024. For mobile 720x1280 or some similar resolution.

  • maybe linus torvalds vs linus tech tips

  • this is my first time hearing about borg, is there anything it does that can improve my current setup? from a quick look it seems like it creates its own backup file while rsync works with raw directory structure.
