  • Look into banana pi r3 or r4. Both should be on openwrt stable now.

  • Yeah but Evangelicals are also hypocritical, they can pretend you are all right if you believe in what they actually care about which is Zionism and the Apocalypse.

IDK the two people in the front look about 6 feet apart, and the person with the trans flag looks about 10ft behind both of them. Doesn't seem to be a well attended protest.

  • And bestiality.

  • Why are you assuming that? Nothing in the caption or article says that, and they are mixed in with the Christians. Usually counter protestors and protestors are kinda separated.

  • Yes, once is enough. Repeatedly should get you banned from driving.

  • Damn I hope you got paid! I meant legit troublemakers like stealing stuff but no one could prove even though we all knew. Not doing work to expected quality. Causing drama within the group.

At least the stories I've heard my company is pretty good about medical and mental issues. I know they kinda forced my old boss into early retirement but they made sure he'd get long term disability until actual retirement which was like a decade away. We've kept in touch and he's happy as a clam with how it turned out.

  • We had big layoffs last year. The order of layoffs was troublemakers that couldn't be fired for other reasons > attendance > performance > how recent you were hired.

  • I don't think they can actually change the name without jumping through tons of hoops, and we know they aren't doing that. So its still DoD they just call it DoW.

  • I think my job is unimportant in the grand scheme of things, but sort important to the company and at least at the end of the day I got something done.

I do enjoy my job the hard days go by fast and usually feel like we accomplished something. The easy days I can fuck around or work on projects I find interesting. Most days I learn something new at the very least so that's good.

I'm sure I could make more somewhere else but I make enough as it is and somewhere else I'd probably have to work a lot harder on less interesting stuff.

  • Can introduce you to our lord and savior Debian? All your troubles will go away when you accept Linux into your heart.

  • Ugh sounds like my nightmare. I try to keep the phone away and only use desktops or laptops. I just use the phone for calls, texts, photos when I don't have a better camera, Lemmy/rss and some light web browsing.

  • Starship Troopers, Die Hard 1 & 2, Alien & Aliens Mad Max, Road Warrior, Thunderdome, Meet the Parents, Little Miss Sunshine, Wedding Crashers, Step Brothers, Office Space, LoTR Trilogy, OG Star Wars trilogy, Any if the Star Trek films, 2001

  • The only thing I've gone 180 on is my hatred of Bob Dylan. Couldn't stand hearing his voice growing up when my parent's played him. Then I learned to like cover versions of his songs. After a watching a complete unknown I became a Dylan fan.

  • Seems like every Abrahamic religion is a death cult. Always has been, always will be.

  • C'mon son.

  • I always had A-Treat Birch Beer and the red cream soda when I visited my grandparents in PA.

  • Every person in the world should be entitled to kick Musk in the crotch once.

  • I groan a lot rewatching old shows, or don't find the jokes funny anymore in 2026, but I think people forget that society progresses.

Take the Seinfeld episode where a reporter thinks George and Jerry are partners and they freak out about it but say "not that theres anything wrong with that." The joke isn't them being called gay but their immature reaction.

A lot of younger modern viewers don't like it, and I get it. The scenes do play on a lot of stereotypes but they fail to realize in the mid 90s homosexuality was almost never mentioned on tv and when it was its was a slur. Just the act of making an episode that featured a discussion on homosexuality and didn't use it as an insult ever was progress. Yes by todays standards a lot of the sterotypical behavior George and Jerry present throughout the episode is in poor taste but it wasn't made with todays standards.
