  • Shoe, sock; shoe, sock, of course.

You all still do socks before shoes like little kids? Uh, ok. /s

  • Wow, so much bad advice in this thread.

It's illegal to repeatedly harass and film people in their home. That's an invasion of privacy and harassment. Please check your local laws.

It's also very illegal to shoot at or otherwise actively bring down a drone, as you will be violating aviation safety laws. You might also be liable for damage to a drone.

First, record and submit to the police every incident. Every one. Make them also furious at your neighbor. Build the case of harassment. Build a case of violating aviation laws. Please.

Nets and string are your best countermeasure option, as those are passive, meaning the drone flies into an obstruction. If you use fishing line, pull it taught. Loose fishing line over a space can harm birds. A few criss-crossed fine strings will likely, eventually, work, and can plausibly have some other purpose, like decoration.

It's not worth being sloppy and getting into trouble on top of being harassed. Be calm, be smart. Please.

  • Me too. This was their best album, IMO. I genuinely love half the tracks, and listen to many of them regularly.

  • That or the other way you could put a condom full of something in you ;)

I mean surgically, to be clear.

  • As a millennial enjoying a cocktail right now, hey, you do you.

  • It goes back and forth. Fiber was also big in the 1990s, and protein big maybe like 2004-2016 because of the Atkins diet trend that ended when it turns out that's not a great thing to do long term, and doesn't prevent you blocking your arteries with cholesterol.

We've literally had this trend before, recently.

  • Dozens, ya say?

From a company that has 164,000 employees?

OK. I mean, that sucks for them, but that's about it.

  • I knew a guy that stored business login credentials in a Google sheet. Black text on black background was what made it "secure." Because you have to know that they're credentials and click on the field.

  • Maybe Marx should have included a part in the middle where he and his girl friends smoked weed and talked about funny ways to get rid of capitalism.

  • OK

  • Typically, these are scam test charges. They want to make sure the card works and you reaction time to a charge you didn't make. They're usually something like a donation to the Red Cross, but all the info is spoofed. People usually see a donation and think "awww.... Can't reverse that...oh well." Then you get hit with more odd, but plausibly named charges. Then a couple big ones for thousands late one night.

  • Oh, I always do ;)

  • Ranch dressing from scratch is like 7 things.

Pasta from scratch with a roller machine is stupid easy and delicious.

Lasagna. Not hard, just takes a while. Make 3, freeze 2. You'll thank me later.

Crispy smashed potatoes are every bit as good as IG posts make it seem. Practically no effort. Microwave to baked stage, smash, butter, oven 15 min. F, now I'm hungry.

Dutch baby/pancake. One of those "cast iron pan oh la la" things. Blend batter, pour in hot pan. Done. Regular pancakes take longer, are more work, and more mess.

  • For sure. I don't mean to say he didn't understand his creation, but rather he hadn't settled on a final version enough to shoot. It's Whills and microscopic world and crime boss adventure tale and Leia and politica and Luke with Jedi legacy and its... Whatever the last thing he was thinking about.

Which doesn't guarantee it would be better than the hot, festering shitpile we got. But it would be hard to do worse.

  • Apparently. Didn't sound better, either...

“The next three movies were going to go into a microbiotic world. There’s this world of creatures that operate differently than we do. I call them the Whills. And the Whills are the ones who actually control the universe. They feed off the Force.”

Then Darth Maul becomes the new Jabba the Hut. It sounds... Like ideas I guess. Maybe a weird dream he had one night.

Edit: also, now we know that Luke wasn't special after all.

“By the end of the trilogy, Luke would have rebuilt much of the Jedi, and we would have the renewal of the New Republic, with Leia, Senator Organa, becoming the Supreme Chancellor in charge of everything. So she was [the Chosen One].”

  • had a trailer that is straight up false advertising.

I've noticed this a fair amount. It seems like deleted scenes or dialogue unattached to the footage gets used to build the trailer. Seems especially used for heavily CGI movies.

  • They were part of George Lucas's original intent. What Lucas had in mind, I think we'll never know, but what we got was certainly not that.

  • That was the last in a long line for me.

HTC Z-fold or whatever with the full keyboard... My first smartphone love. Metal chassis.

HTC M8 with the IR blaster, bestill the loud TVs at bars, you glorious beast.

The M9 was the last good thing HTC ever did.

  • In a few places, maybe, but there's a lot of the world where governments barely function in the first place. Roads aren't even a solved problem globally. UBI for even middle income countries wouldn't happen before climate change caused such damage as to undo any progress that might maybe make UBI possible.

  • So Frankenstein Jr.?
