  • Fuuuck. Isn't that what Signal uses?

  • Ooof, is Redlib going to crash out then?

  • You fool! Thinking only in terms of conserving body heat.

Light clothing is the cooler option, compared to being naked.

Evaporative cooling using just your sweat. We're literally built for this as a species.

Wear a hat and have a mai thai. It's like you don't even know people have lived in the Sahara for longer than language has existed.

  • I mean, it's tolerable, and great for self hosting. Searching for "cat" definitely gets some false positives and straight up wrong choices. The facial recognition ML is pretty good, though. It's kind of wild to suddenly be able to watch family members or myself age by searching for one person and scrolling through 2 decades of photos.

  • Year, it's fantastic. Or at least has been for the last couple of months.

  • Africa:

  • The greatest thing selfhosting ever did was give me an easy way to search "cat" in immich and get rid of all the stupid, useless photos of places and people. Just get me to the good stuff, man.

  • "G'day, I'm Bruce Power, eh?"

I totally thought the same thing.

  • I thought I was the only person on Earth that had seen this movie! It's amazing.

  • Not yet seen mentioned:

    UHF - Weird Al's good-bad classic

Spice World - The Spice Girls knew what they were doing.

Shaolin Soccer - Yes, Ninjas would be good at sports.

  • It's a solid 10. Brendan Fraser's finest work.

  • Season 4 was also good despite the woo factor

  • Came here just to say Buffy.

Life lessons like "you can't punch your way out of every problem" are always worth learning.

  • IMO, it's between 4:00 and 4:30am is the cutoff between days.

  • Because it's more fun!

  • Over my lifetime, I'm up probably around $800.

    Most lost at once, $20.

  • It used to be a thing where you could get a job driving brand new BMWs around Europe until it hit like 6,000km so they could be imported to the US cheaper as a "used" car.

  • Yes, that's how national standards work.

You also can't import a Japanese-made vehicle to the US until it's 25 or more years old because the safety specs are different.

  • I only use YT through invidious front ends, so I only see the promoted ones, but whew... Every topic has some and they bubble to the top a lot.
