  • I did free work on GitHub once. I made a porn mod for a video game and released the code on github under an alt account.

Sometimes I seriously think about whether I should tell employers:

"Have you contributed to any open source projects?"

"A little bit of Piefed stuff, but mostly gooning."

  • most applicants don't even change up their resume for the job/company and it's obvious

    Wot.

Do you want us to give you a blowjob too? Is that what's expected of us these days?

  • Damn that's a conspiracy theory I'll believe.

Also, I know for a fact they look you up on social media. I wonder if I keep getting rejected because I'm not active on any of that Facebook crap.

  • It's actually gotten worse in the last 100 years. See, back then, most women would do unpaid household labour, and men would work. So your typical married household does 40 hours of work a week.

Nowadays, we have (some) gender equality, which means everyone works 40 hours a week. So your typical married household does 80 hours of paid work a week, PLUS the unpaid work that still needs to be done!

If we want to get back to doing the same work as a society as in 1926, we need to legally mandate a 4 hour workday. Anything less is a regression in workers' rights.

  • Fun fact: Moon dirt, formally known as lunar regolith, is incredibly sharp. The particles it's made up of aren't weathered by wind or water like they are on earth, so it's basically a soil made out of tiny tiny knives. If you breathe it in or lick it, it'll tear your insides apart like super-asbestos.

  • Do mind that this is one of those cartoons for grownups that's full of dick jokes. Harley Quinn likes to fuck.

  • I like the episode of Harley Quinn where she goes inside Batman's mind, and it's just nothing but an infinite loop of his parents being murdered. She has to delve deep inside his subconscious to find anything else going on in there. Harley ends up earning the trust of his inner self, who is still still that scared 11 year old watching his parents die, and she becomes Batman's therapist for the rest of the show.

    Because Harley Quinn is awesome.

  • I've only seen the one with Bane, and I thought it sucked.

It felt like Bane beat Batman for no reason, and Batman just had to overcome a pointless trial where he learned nothing, to create a manufactured darkest hour. I didn't feel like Batman ideologically bested Bane, and ideology is important to Me.

My favourite Batman bossfight is Terry McGinnis beating the Joker in Batman Beyond. Terry is a gen alpha kid who grew up on 67 and Skibidi Toilet. Terry knows funny. And the Joker isn't funny. The Joker can't stand being the butt of the joke, he can't stand being vulnerable. Vulnerability is the key to all great comedy, and the Joker can't do it. Terry defeats the Joker by out-funnying the Joker. That's meaningful.

I never felt like anything happening in Nolan's Batman had any meaning.

  • Yeah, I have a personality disorder, so I don't like ableism. I stand with My ASPD (Antisocial Personality Disorder) siblings, who are often attacked with the ableist slur "psychop*th" (which isn't even etymologically valid, since it's literally just Greek for "mentally ill person")

  • Other people's mental health isn't your business

  • There's no way to destroy cultural beliefs without mistreating people.

  • You know here in Australia, people have tried to "cure" religions they don't agree with. White people have tried to exterminate Aboriginal religions. Because these religions were seen as dangerous and primitive.

Personally, I think taking people's religions away from them on a massive population level is genocide. Aboriginal Australians have faced genocide for their religion. And to Me, this meme looks like a call to genocide.

  • No, the word didn't enter the popular lexicon because people loved the French language. It entered the popular lexicon because people with disabilities were seen as acceptable targets. Citing the prior history of the word is a false etymology. There's a reason people use that word instead of "delayed" or "slowed". Can you imagine if I said "This rhetoric from people I disagree with is fucking slowed." It doesn't have the same bite, because it doesn't use disabled people as punching bags.

  • I thought we were having plastic bottles

  • The alchemists were right, they just focused on the wrong area of the periodic table. We can't turn lead into gold, but we can turn plastic into mouthwatering hamburgers!

  • In Australia, the Europeans were too primitive to see how the land was developed, which is why they were able to lie about it being terra nullis.

You see, when the first European "explorers" came here, they wrote about how the land was like a garden estate. Rolling fields of grass with scattered trees. The perfect environment to go on a stroll in, and the animals loved it too. This kind of environment is what nobles back in England hire full time gardeners to curate, even now that we have lawnmowers!

And they thought this environment had just randomly come to be.

    Cause they were ignorant primitives!

The First Australians terraformed the environment into this using a technology even more powerful than lawnmowers: cold fire. They knew (and still know) how to create fires that burn up the scrub while leaving the trees unharmed. Using cold fire, they created thriving habitats for yummy animals like kangaroos, with lots of food plants all over the place.

Before colonisation, Indigenous Australians only had to work a few hours a day. They created farms integrated with nature, indistinguishable from nature to the untrained eye. European savages just couldn't see them.

  • Shin ramyun

  • Yeah that's one of the ugliest cats I've ever seen. Cause good health is beautiful.

  • You know the guys who try to optimise superheroes? You know, "Superman should carry a gun", "Iron Man should turn his suits into drones"?

This is the kind of person I imagine they are at work.
