    Well, no, I'm not scared. I trust the experts, and they say it's not cause for concern, because it's not highly contagious and requires extended contact with the infected to become infected yourself. I'm scared for the well-being of the people on the ship, but I'm hoping the Spanish government and the people of the Canary Islands can help there.

    I'm very disappointed in Cape Verde, speaking of.

  • Well, it's OK. We're just friends and have been living together for the past, I wanna say 7 years? Thereabouts.

    She's really needy sometimes, like she literally will not get off me, but at the same time she has this weird aversion to touch, like I can't even glance her way and she thinks I'm insulting her or something.

    And for eating?! Dude, she doesn't cook, EVER! I cook for both of us! Well, for years now I don't even cook, I just buy some cans of stuff for her and she eats it, doesn't even bat an eye either. Her food habits are kinda nasty, though... I guess it's different cultures? She doesn't use cutlery at all, she doesn't even use her hands, just straight mouth!

    Also, I don't mean to be uncouth, but she's very hairy. Inhumanly hairy, I'd say; it's weird, and annoying.

    Anyway, her name's Mimi, my cat.

  • Well, not sure. What version of the Re:Zero light novel did you read? By the way, it is light novel, not visual novel; Visual novels are effectively video games. I assume you didn't play Re:Zero.

    There is actually a Re:Zero visual novel, so if that's what you meant, then I can't comment, as I don't play visual novels.

    But, generally speaking, light novels use relatively simple language. I did read the Re:Zero LNs though, and didn't think they were bad at all! I only read up to volume 17. I've heard that the web novel version is much worse in a lot of respects, though. If that's what you read, then maybe that's why you disliked it. Not sure.

    I would definitely say that good light novels are expected to be good reads, even if they don't use complex language.

  • If you prefer the written medium, make sure to read the light novel as well!!! IT'S REALLY FREAKING GOOD!!!!!!!!

    Personally, I actually prefer it to the anime (though I basically always prefer the written version to video).
