new account due to issues

  • yeah exactly.

  • let's calculate: mayflower in 1618 to today, roughly 2018 is about 400 years. first child was mostly had around age 22 for most of that time, so that makes 400 / 22 ≈ 18 generations if you're descended from a long row of first-borns.

  • i mean this tell you everything that you need to know: as soon as the animation quality of a channel is good enough, it gets accused of being AI. what does this tell us about the quality of AI output?

  • i still go for 720 all the time because at a certain resolution, you're just starting to see the pimples, at not extra benefit.

  • that's why i never pursued a master's.

  • yeah the "tankie bar" issue is a real problem.

  • i'm not complaining about mods or sth, just as a general viewpoint of how to treat new useres.

  • oh yeah you're right, it got restored.

  • That post is just setting off all kinds of alarm bells.

yeah actually now that i look at it again, you might be right.

i kinda just saw "oh hey new user" and went into auto "treat them nicely" mode. didn't actually note much what they wrote on their backstory

  • yeah i basically fucked up and sent a direct link to my old account to a couple people that i know irl. after considering that this is not good, i had to make an alt.

also thanks for recognizing me, that makes me proud.

  • ah yes the "grounded for sharing an opinion the parent doesn't like" rule

comes second only to the .ml "banned for rule 1, 2"

  • if you use lemmy, type a -- b to get "a -- b".

  • let me -- try something

    yep, lemmy can do it.

  • uhh from my experience, any piece of art of sufficient quality will be accused of being AI made these days.

  • well yeah chile is long but significantly longer than broad. for the US, the length/width ratio is more like 2:1 so it's less extreme.

and also yeah, australia is big, but mostly all desert (i guess 90%) while the US is only 50% desert.

  • yeah i suspected it was actually an army project to prepare for the escalation of the cold war. that's why it was released after 1980 ... it was considered that it wasn't necessary anymore (to keep it in stockpile).
