  • I fuckin loved The Bends though. And while Pablo Honey may not be anything compared to Ok Computer, the track Blowout is soooooo good. They also have a substantial amount of excellent b-sides around their earlier few albums. OK computer was a monster of an album though, no doubt.

I haven't really listened to them in years now, lol. Funny how things change...

  • No money for healthcare, billions and billions (ICE already received 200 billion) for domestic terrorism

  • It's funny they even do anything about it at this point. It's not like they're ever going to be put out of business

  • He must revel in looking like an unequivocal douche. You don't just roll out of bed looking like that--that is intentional

  • Fuckin figures. I knew that place was too good to be true. I'll delete the link and stop using them. Got a non-paywall link to the article, by any chance?

  • Edit: had an archive.ph link to the non-paywall article, turns out we shouldn't use archive.today or any of it's affiliated links. They were behind a DDOS attack on Wikipedia, so I'm done with them, as everyone should be.

Now to find another paywall bypassing site!

  • Probably not even.

Back in my day, when a company fucked up badly enough--they were finished. We're truly in the too-big-to-fail era

  • As they always fucking should have. The fact they didn't for as long as they managed to really bothers me

  • That's actually my go-to! Started using Ecosia after reading about it here 🙂

As for my comment--I figured Bing would make a better verb than Google (plus I'm so over Google at this point)

  • It's tape all the way down, isn't it?

  • Perhaps not a piece of black tape, sure--but it's not like there aren't options out there. A quick Bing provided plenty of links to research ways to circumvent the LED.

  • They can vote now, as well--as long as they live in that one state where all the corporations reside. This shit is so stupid

  • Didn't know we had anyone left to fire

  • The likeness is uncanny!

  • If he pays his fair share of taxes... He would likely still own everything he owns but wouldn't have as many 0's adorning the big important number in his bank account. Just devestating to see someone forced to pay their fair share, lol

  • Right? Here's a good example:

If you own an apartment in New York and don’t live there full-time, you’re taxed. If your heirs inherit assets in New York, they’re taxed at thresholds that now reach the upper middle class. The logical extension of this trajectory — and the question the entire private aviation industry should be asking — is: what about the $70 million jet you landed at Teterboro this morning?

It's very interesting to see just how out of touch they are. You can even see him trying to appeal to non-billionaires by making it sound like he actually gives a fuck about them. "Omg, you're inheriting a million dollar property? How will you handle the taxes?!? 😱" Then quickly pivots to a more familiar scenario to people in his echelon: "what if I have to pay a fair tax on this ridiculous lifestyle I'm living?!?
