refusing those two things makes it to be the only AI company that is ""radical left"". Now Google, OpenAI or Grok will do what Anthropic has done already, plus mass surveillance plus AI-killcommands
Does a Mac turn into a PC when using Linux on it?
Thats at least how it would work with my definition of PC, which is "personal" meaning that you control it fully.
But I never thought that deep about it really.
I am barely "comfortable" with Linux, have only a very rudimentary, half broken V1 of a homelab set up on Linux Mint. I count myself into that category, yes.
But I also read stuff here and on itsfoss and on other plattforms, mostly to learn things by osmosis, because I am not interested enough to buy a Linux or Commandline Book or sth.

I recently gave up on setting up a docker setup at my homelab and am now learning more if it before trying a second time.

There are probably a lot of programms that do aspects of Excel better. But the combined might you weild if you know how to use Excel is very powerful.
I tried LibreOffice and OnlyOffice and the spreadsheet part of those office suites is the roughest one until today.
But my comment was more about how much of our economy probably runs on Excel. And I experienced how badly Excel and for example LibreOffice Calc plays together, it makes switching very hard.
A complex .xlsx is far from being rendered and calculated correctly in LibreOffice.
We have a lot of different political and government bodies. Like the "checks and balances" the US had.
So when you read "Switzerland wants to..." it could be:
A survey of people living in Switzerland
A initiative (an official political vote done by the swiss citicens)
One big or multiple parties signing an agreement
A group of cantons or communal legislative or executive politicians
A group of semi-official people (like the conference of all the cantons data protection officers ("Kantonale Datenschützer", keine Ahnung wie all das Zeug auf Englisch heisst, Hilfe)
Our parliament or a comitee in it
Our other parliament or a comitee in it
The federal court
The federal chancelor
The federal government
And sometimes internetusers even mix some company into the bag, for example Proton.
I probably forgot a few and misspelt a lot but you get the idea.
And all of them are different elected or appointed persons, with their own opinions.
Maybe it could count for Civil Service, like the Zivildienst in Switzerland, where you do work for your country instead of doing the mandatory military training.
Like that the programmers or other nerds can contribute to greater things instead of working their minds numb in a hospital or sth.
And they being stored in a "cloud" (or NAS) is necessary for every bigger institution nowadays. Because people work together and not each for themselves in their own libreoffice writer.
