The very least they could do, given they're increasing the price of water AND powee in areas where their server parks are, is to install a filtration system to clean the wastewater and reduce the amount of nitrates, at least to the level of input. Hell it would even be worth it for Amazon as on the long run they could sell those nitrates filtered out, to farmers.
It's quite random, the time between wakings. If I go by smartwatch data it's anywhere between 10 minutes and 4 hours. Consciously remembered ones, those are almost always 2 hours on the dot.
Clearly the cycle doesn't restart every time I wake up, if it ends at the ~1.5hr mark (which by the way is quite fluid, sometimes as little as 30min, sometimes it doesn't happen until 9am).
I have tried figuring out both cycle length and falling asleep time, but thanks to my raging ADHD I sleep quite restless (it's frequent I wake up 2-3 times during the night), and need lots of time to fall asleep (and no, melatonin sadly didn't help). So for me this trick works.
The goal is to find the sweet spot between sleep cycles - a cycle interrupted means you feel like shit. If 9am happens to be in the middle of a cycle, you're fucked.
But by "waking" up (not fully) at 7, then picking the time when you're not mid-cycle, you can avoid all that.
Pick a "must get out of bed before this" time. For me it's 9am.
Pick a time 2-3 hours before that. For me, best was 6:30am
Set up alarms evenly spaced, at least 10 minutes apart. Ideally the spacing should reduce as you get closer to the "must be out of bed before this" time. E.g. for me, it's 6:30, 6:45, 7:00, 7:15, 7:30, 7:45, 8:00, 8:15, 8:30, 8:40, 8:50, 8:55 and finally 9:00
Go to bed and be asleep at least 6 hours prior to the first alarm. I often can't do this but I try.
Once the alarm wakes you, take a moment to assert just how tired and shite you feel, and if you don't, time to get out of bed.
If you're still feeling like a piece of week old dogshit that got put through a full washer and dryer cycle, go back to sleep(ish), nap, or just rest with your eyes closed.
Rinse and repeat steps 6 and 7 until you feel optimal or need to get out of bed.
In a few days your body realises that while it is waking early, it also has an opportunity to rest to the optimal point, and said optimal point will start appearing. For me that's usually between 7:45 and 8:30.
There's a number of apps that promise to find this sleep sweet spot, but in my experience they're quite hit and miss. This method though has been super precise for me.
And 18350s and 13400 (very common in "disposable" vapes), and a bunch of other sizes.
The issue with 18650 is honestly that it's too big for most applications, especially when you look at what currently uses disposable batteries - remotes etc. - and their sizes.
Also, for li-ion, a cylinder isn't an optimal shape, for a number of reasons, first being physics - the rolled up layers result in gaps that reduces the per volume capacity. The form factor also requires a very strong can, is prone to shorts, and doesn't allow for easy addition of protective electronics.
For household purposes I think the best approach would've been utilising Nokia's standardised battery formats (BL-5 family is still ubiquitous even though Nokia hasn't made a phone that uses it in nearly 15 years), scaling them as necessary, while keeping a standardised pinout - with Li-Ion you kinda need more data than just the two poles can provide on a cylinder battery (temperature, internal resistance, etc.).

DRAM manufacturing capacity is split between like, 4 major manufacturers, and all of them already contracted out their full capacity for the next year - all the sales going towards AI hardware, B2B sales (because B2B is guaranteed big contract vs B2C where you're literally relying on every buyer and every sale separately). Which means little to no capacity for RAM module manufacturers, which means little to no supplies after current stocks run out.
Of course current stock being upmarked is end seller greed, and to prevent a sudden rush (just like with TP during COVID, if people hear about something being in limited supply, they panic buy, FOMO is a dangerous drug after all).
And when it's not AI, and not crypto, it's a "sorry the rain kinda fucked up our DRAM factory, limited capacity for a year" or "sorry COVID kinda fucked up our resource pipelines, reduced capacity for a year".
There's always an excuse to pump up the prices, and never a reason to lower them. I do hope DRAM manufacturers get bitten in the ass for it though, have the AI bubble pop, leaving them with a bunch of orders that can't be fulfilled because the buyers no longer exist...

To them it's a status symbol - like how Apple products used to be status symbols for the plebeian (aka us).
Having multimillion dollar supercars, villas, mansions, seven bedroom apartments, etc., works well, but you're only truly rich if you can show off how you didn't actually lose any value to get those benefits. How you didn't need to spend a single penny of your wealth to live the rich life.
I found most Japanese whiskey to be too sweet for my taste. GJ has that balance of smoothness while keeping the sweetness at bay.
Plus I'm not that big of a fan of non-scotch whisky anyway.
By the way if you want something truly smooth, and not too sweet, the cheaper Mackinlay's Shackleton remake, usually around £20 a bottle (should be around $25-30 in the US), is an amazing choice.

Hell, if you have $1mil on your hand, you can easily walk into a "rich people bank", open an account and get free shit every month, beyond the very generous interest rates. Free concert/theatre tickets, and such. It's like a casino hotel that tries to get you to stay with the freebies, but on an "I have a few million dollars in your bank" level.
Except every single MacBook you can buy right now (directly, from Apple, not second hand) directly beats pretty much every other device in its price range - unless you go super crazy with the specs and want to do 128GB RAM with an M5 Max and 8TB storage.
