  • But this process impacts other stores, too, like FDroid.

  • But the desalination process is powered by the energy manufacturing, the water is not shared between them. I was more thinking about the safety and capability of the energy manufacturing, as fallout makes other systems much more difficult.

  • 1300W A/C heater, so actually significantly faster than a 2.4 I hope, but we shall see.

But that's also why I started with the V0. 90% of my projects that require 3D printing will end up using it.

  • Yup! Sovol has kitted out a Voron 2.4 based 500x500mm printer (SV08 Max), so decided to give it a shot vs building the 350mm 2.4.

  • Could this run with contaminated water as a source? For instance during fallout?

  • It's a shame things that are exciting as kids become scary as adults, even when they don't need to be. Sure, there can be risks, but we tend to over-exagerate them when we are unfamiliar.

My issue is heights. But only sometimes. Brains are wierd.

  • It you want to try something new that gives you more freedom than the print bed, consider 2020 alluminum extrusion. I'll be doing a custom enclosed rack with it soon, using the printer to make shelves/containers between beams.

  • Good luck with that one. It takes a lot of resources from my limited and aged experience, and I'm sure it's more now. Might be worth focusing the indexer on a topic area to start, just to get a feel for sizing (if your chosen solution supports that).

  • Haha I backpack/camp, too, and have seen that experience firsthand as well.

  • Is there a reference for this?

  • My one change: I do SSHFS over LAN, because of guest machines and sniffing potential.

I do NFS on direct wire or on a confidently set up VLAN (maybe).

  • I'm in the USA, OP appears to be in the UK.

  • Yea I dont think people are catching the sarcasm of not having capital E Engineers in all countries.

  • Uhh, exactly that? Major hiring software apps adopted LLMs to summarize CVs. And AI does not equal LLM. There are plenty of ML algorithms in use pre-filtering CVs.

  • Consider self-hosting SearXNG, which can aggregate results and filter.

  • If you're in the UK, then here in the US, it's the sounds.

Crickets, frogs, birds, beetles, giant wasps, small mammals. The spring and autumn are wild with sounds.

My partner is a Brit in an industry where many get stationed here, and they all say the same.

Edit: And if you're outdoorsy, the geography, of course.
