  • Had the most amazing burger in Japan. I'm not sure what they put in their food, but EVERYTHING there tastes amazing.

  • I had something in Germany they told me was from Austria that was just ham steaks with eggs and potatoes in an incredible red sauce.

It sounds a bit like Tiroler Gröstel but with Gulasch Sauce. Gulasch is usually it's own dish, but you could use it as an addition to another dish.

  • I’m also really annoyed by it and I would love to use the old one, but around here trans exclusive LGB groups started using it… Soooo, kinda burned for me unfortunately.

Don’t want to tell you to not use it btw! Just be aware that it could mean something different for certain groups of people.

  • Do not overthink it. Set up paperless, create a watched folder. Paperless does the OCR for you. Scan your stuff and check if it was scanned as you want it to be. If yes, drop it in the folder. Tag as you go, paperless will learn and tags will get more accurate. If something reaches a level where you can trust paperless to always tag it correctly, let it tag that type of thing completely automated.

And file away your scanned papers separately, because scanning old things takes a lot of time and will most likely not be done in a day or two. Even with a scanner which can pull through stacks of pages, you still have to check if every page really was scanned (scanners can pull in two pages at the same time, only one page will be scanned then) and you have to merge multi-page docs (or scan them that way immediately).

  • Requiem for a Dream is a good one. And the music is great.

  • Irreversible. Don't watch it. Or rather... I recommend looking up first why it is so controversial and see if you think you want to watch it. If you want to watch it... It is a pretty brilliant way to actual convey the thing happening, but it is still stuck in my mind years later and I'm pretty sure I can never watch it again.

  • I also would want to pick the quality/size of the file depending on the show (good shows deserve better quality).

Entirely possible with Seer (and also directly in Sonarr I think)! Don't want to convert you though. If what you are doing is working for you, that's great.

  • This. Some people just a prone to psychosis. Can be a family trait or random. This is known about schizophrenia too. Can be triggered by a lot of different things, including drugs. AI stuff just added itself to the list of possible triggers for those people.

  • Not really a thing in vienna to actually see someone doing something like that in a toilet. At most, snorting something. If I would see something lying around in the toilet that would be something no one would ignore here, but call someone to figure out if they need help.

    Very different to Seattle apparently.

  • Is there anything which can compare with kindles when it battery life? I got a kindle and a Tolino (both rooted) and the kindle just works for weeks and the tolino has to be charged every few days and loses battery when it’s just sitting around. If I leave the kindle in a drawer for weeks, basically no battery is used.

  • Ehh, I think it depends on the person. I saw basically no one in person for weeks and it didn't bother me a lot. Humans are social animals, but we are also all very different.

  • The idea here is not overloading their database infrastructure literally, but putting so much nonsense info in there that all of the collected data is useless. For example... an insane amount of cis people.

Not living in the same state seems to be pretty safe to me btw. There is no way being safe all the time while fighting and resisting... Hell, even living in general is quite dangerous. One has to choose what in their life is worth taking a risk.

  • To be honest it is not as big of deal. I have a MacBook M1 with 8 GB of memory and my swap is regularly 20 GB but I don’t have any problems when actually working with the system. It’s handling the low memory situation very gracefully.

For browsing, office and some media it’s totally fine.

  • When you feel a sneeze coming and you don't want to sneeze, press the tip of your tongue firmly against the roof of mouth. Works nearly every time!

  • Is it? Got a 3080 and my pc goes to sleep and wakes up without issues. Or do you mean a specific mode? I just use whatever cachy with KDE uses as standard.

  • Thank you all so much for your answers, I have a few more options to go through now!
