  • We still need to protect the idiots. Thats why we're banning asbestos and have safety codes. How is this any different?

  • What? We can't make people read setup manual for 30minutes? Might as well stop living now because whats the point of our society if we are defeated by a pamphlet?

  • Its just sheer laziness. These people are dragging our entire society down because they can't spend 30 minutes to read the manual. This should be shameful unjustifiable behavior.

Betting 100% that the same people are calling someone else lazy every week without any self awareness.

  • Nah you're just being lazy. Its really not that hard. At least be ashamed man instead of this defeatist bullshit.

  • Or you could choose an option that does neither. Why feed the autocrats at all?

  • I'm a security dev and this is a good idea!

  • As someone who used to do a lot of mushroom babysitting the recursion talk smells whole lot like someone's first big trip

  • Who could have guessed that having billionaire owned always on surveillance device in your home would lead to this

  • Seems a bit of a publicity stunt as there must be a better way to do this than to drop logistics on to human subways? That being said inner city delivery bots are great idea. I'd see them all the time in Estonia a few years ago and food delivery should be entirely automated.

  • What absolutely no. Server side generated code is still king in the right hands. Why have client lift all of thay when server side html rendering basically costs nothing. Even strong js driven front end you can still add much through server side by providing proper hydration paths. Good devs take advantage of both worlds but server side is incredibly powerful today.

  • This is already how it has worked forever and AI was not needed. Try it yourself using different devices or times of day.

  • Oops

  • I've done ease in technique in Journaling if basically starting off with almost random gibberish and then rolling into actual journal content. For this to work you really need to just sit down and starting doodling or typing and eventually your mind sets into a mode where you want to write something actually meaningful!

  • The data is still valuable and most importantly it's a way to spy on any visitor.

  • Not the same thing?

  • As an European living in Asia and can't help but cringe at American cars. They're so far behind. And it's the car country. Japan has better cars and better rail. Embarassing.

  • Tbf notoriously China subsidizes BYD to net loss so its not exactly capitalism.

  • It's the toughest problem for this very reason but thats why freedom of competition is critical here. We can allow systems to self correct through incentives and protections and thats exactly what most western democracies are doing!

Diversity has been hijacked as a ideological word but its literally the best and most sustainable long term strategy even in rigid markets like investment (I.e. hedging, index funds etc). So diversifying power, despite blocking, is really powerful despite what current autocrat wannabes want us to believe.

  • Will it though? Looking at China, Russia or Iran I'm not so certain. In fact it seems to be regressing without anyone actively working for progress.
