  • The media is very predictable for sure. They put on the rose-colored glasses for the pro argument, and sensationalize the worst fears for the con. Historically, the truth lands in the middle.

Unlike the topic of immigration, with the massive wealth inequality of today, anything benefiting corporations over the working class is far more likely to work out in their favor.

  • That’s intentional. They sensationalize to desensitize. Unlike the introduction of computers or the internet, AI will absolutely take far more jobs than it will create. Goldman Sachs predicts a 50% reduction in US jobs by 2045, and Republicans added a provision into the budget reconciliation that prohibits any regulation on AI for a decade, to ensure that prosperity goes to the corporations.

  • Agreed. We should be voting twice every two years, not once every four, for national elections alone.

  • Well, that’s on Virginia’s 11th District. He was voted in with 274k, but only 43k voted in the primary. People who call for term limits should try showing up when they have a say.

Do you know who always votes? Retirees, and they have very different needs than the working class.

  • And I’m betting they’ll be exempt to the Apple and Samsung tariffs

  • Chin stubble is my hand’s scratching post.

  • Oh, definitely protest. Just stay non-violent and record all of the unprovoked use of unnecessary force. Like this:

    ICE hit and runhttps://files.catbox.moe/ykdo17.mov

    LAPD tramples civilian with horsehttps://files.catbox.moe/oowzj4.mp4

    LAPD damage their own cruiserhttps://files.catbox.moe/01bkj4.mov

    Reporters attacked by LAPD1.https://files.catbox.moe/yhvagw.mp42.https://files.catbox.moe/zpycx3.mp43.https://files.catbox.moe/rcez2o.mp4

  • That’s fair. Then don’t trust it. I don’t implicitly trust any source but my own experience, and even that is flawed.

  • Still better than the hot day stickily dickily.

  • “They started it” may work in third grade, but not here. Don’t let their violent behavior provoke you. Instead, record and document it, gain a safer position, and continue to protest.

  • I do, when the conversation isn’t promoting violent resistance.

  • We’re not stopping them peacefully or violently with 1.5% of our nation in protest. Violent resistance at this size will only reduce our numbers.

  • Agreed. This was the most advertised and televised election in US history. The 90M people who sat out made a choice to do so.

  • Seems like it. He posted about Putin’s offer to give Musk asylum before it was offered by Medvedev on Xitter.

  • I love the idea of them wasting all of those resources, but we need the 14th to be as big as possible. Protests are the best way to chat up less informed and newly engaged people, share communication resources, and generate awareness through unity.

  • Yup. He was on Trump’s team until he saw him with the mask off. He’s been disclosing Trump’s inner circle plays since he left. His son is Aaron Parnas, of Meidas Touch network and now his own platform.
