Well, my colleagues all knew in the day I was laid off in the morning before me. I only knew about it after it being announced in the afternoon because it was a day off for me. It was fun. People coming to say goodbye and me having no idea what they were talking.
And everyone, everywhere is putting ai chats as their first and front interaction with users and then also want to say "do not trust it or we are not liable for what it says" but making it impossible to contact any humans.
Cashiers everywhere around here stopped to put things in the bags for at least 10 years now. I still remember the good times when the bags were carefully and properly put by them with all the items magically fitting. Good old times. Nowadays there's barely a difference between self checkout and using a human operated one. The main difference is that on self checkout I'm not rushed and can take my time to put the items how I want in the bags.
Kazaa and emule where more legit 😅. Still happened sometimes.
