  • I like both but I’m more a cat person, less needy than dogs in find.

Yeah they’re cute little ninja bastards.

I do wonder what it is they sense in people to decide if they like them, cause they’ll approach me but not some of my friends.

  • Thank you.

  • When they said?

  • I sit close to the bottom one. Apparently, a coping mechanism of undiagnosed ADHD, now diagnosed but hard to break the habit.

So in the office I sit kind of like the bottom image but my feet are in the seat. Maybe one sole down and the other foot I’m sat on.

At home my lower back is on the seat and my legs are on my bed.

  • You’ve seen me write SQL haven’t you.

  • Thanks for this. I appreciate the correction, even if it does involve anthropomorphising animals.

  • Scar face has a remake?

  • Do you know his ex too?

  • The ones that didn’t figure out didn’t breed and make more bears.

  • I mean she is probably the most popular pop star in the world, so I think it is breaking news if it helps the disenfranchised youth vote for Kamala over Trump.

  • I would ban adverts IRL, like billboards and stuff.

  • As I say I’ve had no issues with AirPods and my current B&W are passable.

Sure for audio quality isn’t as good Bluetooth as wired but as some who listens to a lot of classical I don’t really have the ears that can distinguish between different bitrates.

  • I have some B&W Px2s and they’re fine when using the microphone, although the sound quality is the main selling point.

Any of the AirPods that go in your ear have exceptional microphone quality.

I find it hard to believe every pair of headphones you’ve ever tried has been trash, unless you’re just buying trash quality and expecting amazing hardware.

  • Isn’t it the case that a lot of the research is funded by governments through universities and then the pharmaceutical companies come in and scoop up the IP and charge crazy prices.

  • What resource did you use to master it? As every time I have to use regex I want to cry.

  • We use it on Azure, but I don’t always want some files in version control. I might just want things for myself to share across both machines.

Plus I really don’t care what Microsoft is or isn’t tracking on my work machines. If my company is satisfied with us using everything Microsoft then who am I to complain.

For reference on what we use of Microsoft:

    • Azure for Git, BlobStorage, hosting, database storage, etc
    • Office Suite - never imagined I would work so much on excel as a dev, but every project so far has required reading from or writing to excel.
    • Visual Studio Professional
    • C# .net and entity framework
    • Typescript mainly with React
    • Teams
    • One drive
    • CoPilot integration in Visual Studio Professional, which saves countless hours in writing code, as it learns your standards. It’s like Intellisense on steroids.
    • SQL Server Management Studio

There’s probably more that I can’t think of right now. We have an honourable mention of GraphQL as a wrapper for our API.

  • Not always an option.

We use windows at work, which is annoying as a software developer, and I WFH three days a week. I need some files available on both machines and cloud is the best option. I’m not about to be taking a flash drive between home and work.
