  • Yes, but more like "kimchi to taste". For the typical Kraft box, I'd say more like half a cup of kimchi, but please do sneak up on what you think is a good amount if its your first time. For reference, a lot of Korean dishes serve at least a quarter-cup per serving.

  • Kimchi Mac N Cheese

    For those reading and thinking "what the actual fuck", don't knock it until you've tried it. This is in steady rotation at my place. You'd think American cheese is a bad fit for asian food, but budae jjigae has been a staple comfort dish in Korea since the war and proudly boasts this flavor combo.

    Anyway, this dish is incredible. The kimchi funk is mellowed by the other ingredients and contributes acid, spice, and seasoning to the overall dish for practically zero effort.

    Top and finish as you like. Here, we like to take it deeper into East Asia by adding chopped green onions, fried shallots, peanuts, and chili crisp.

    Denial notwithstanding, the real story here is the "Aides Confessed" part. For a mob that practically worships an authoritarian paternal figure, admitting any weakness is a huge deal. It suggests that it's way worse than all that, and that the cracks in this scheme are showing.

  • I especially like the little glimpses to the advertisement hellscape I'm avoiding when my adblock plugin fails to work (usually right before they need an update). I especially like how the ads are rocking some kind of premium low-latency CDN while the rest of youtube is served from a cluster of used xboxes, presumably co-located in an abandoned Radio Shack in suburban Alaska. Treat your users better, Google.

  • Yeah, don't get me wrong: Platner is clearly the best choice given those options. But I hate that these are the people to choose from in this particular race.

    Besides, after Fetterman's heel-turn, I'm leery of any candidate with a checkered past. I do believe in second chances, but some jobs are just too important and corruption-prone to risk it.
