It's still sad that people were telling her she looked sick but she responded as though they were somehow shaming her for not being a teenager anymore and didn't go to the doctor about it. If she'd been able to listen to it instead of getting angry she might still be alive.
I love how the name "hacker" was successfully vilified by associating it with criminals, something we already had a word for.
