  • To build if you’re doing this a lot and can’t use a brand lens with known correction data in darktable, set up graph paper and phone camera on a tripod to keep everything consistent, then photograph the empty paper. Create a transform in gimp to make the paper completely flat / square, and then just reapply that transform for every object you need to capture.

  • I can diagnose you with poor reading comprehension. Do you know what a simile is? You said “I experience XYZ …” and the commenter replied with “Sounds like ABC …” and then asked a bunch of clarifying questions. They didn’t diagnose you.

    Now, I’ll allow you might have lumped this reply in with the others who did say you have some kind of anxiety, so fair enough. But consider the other people who replied with variations of “I experience the same thing and it’s due to my anxiety.” Are you unwilling to consider the possibility?

  • Correct—you’ll have lovely pure fumes with none of those nasty larger particulates.

    Seriously, read up on what N95 filters out. It most certainly isn’t gaseous fumes, vapours, or VOCs. If you’re using them for things like paint spraying, good luck.

  • So I’m normally a command line fan and have used git there. But I’m also using sublimerge and honestly I find it fantastic for untangling a bunch of changes that need to be in several commits; being able to quickly scroll through all the changed files, expand & collapse the diffs, select files, hunks, and lines directly in the gui for staging, etc. I can’t see that being any faster / easier on the command line.
