  • I can’t imagine a scenario where a bot post would make sense. But I think each sub needs to ask that question, then make it a part of the sub rules. Bots should be clearly defined, and should only post content that is allowed of a bot.

    Just like how in 2020 he used the data to show that Democrats used mail-in voting much more than Republicans. So he promptly put in a postmaster general who started dismantling mail sorting machines to slow down the mail.

  • Well, we live in a 2-party country. “Social Democrat” will have to be a subset of the Democratic Party the same way “Libertarian” is a subset of the Republican Party.

    You might be able to have a 3rd party in down ballot races. But not for president.

    Personally, I think the move is to slowly fill the ranks with people like Mamdani and AOC among others. The only reason we have those people is cause Bernie ran a great campaign inspired people. Hopefully this trend continues.

  • Are people actually saying she couldn’t get elected cause she’s a “progressive woman”? Seems like age an experience would be the obvious reasons people would say she can’t win.

    I love AOC, and hope she runs and would root for her every step of the way. But I would be shocked if she won the nomination simply because House of Representatives is her only real achievement. Seems more likely she would run for Senate before running for president.

  • I know the rules around interim senators is different for all states. I assume any appointment would be a republican. A special election might benefit dems, i just don’t believe KY is really moving left. They traditionally elect a democrat governor, but are hard R for all national elections.
