  • Maybe it was possible they already got the other pilot. Maybe it was possible they confirmed the other pilot died already.

    There’s a reason why this story was reported as a leak and not as “common sense tells you 2 pilots are missing, not 1”.

  • Thanks for a legit answer. Still don’t see a reason why the information was leaked. What was gained? Outside of an exclusive.

    I get that journalists are allowed to print whatever they want, but usually they will not print something if it might cause harm. This seems like one of those cases.

  • Having only read Trump’s comments on this, he says Iran didn’t know there was a 2nd missing person until the story was leaked. If true, the journalist and reporter put the pilots life in danger.

    Is there some context we’re missing?

    Now, arresting the journalists is dumb, but definitely seems like a dick move to report this.

    Anyway, democrats overall, yes. Unlike republicans, though, there are democrats that are doing the right thing. And those will not succeed so long as republicans keep winning.

    I saw he will be the first president sitting in on arguments to the supremely court. I wonder if this is an attempt to intimidate justices that might go against him.

  • Checks and balances doesn’t work if one party is in charge of everything. I found the John Oliver episode about Hungary to be particularly terrifying.

    Imagine if Trump rigged the election so they had a super majority in the senate and a majority in the house. They could rewrite the constitution. What then?

  • I genuinely fear that ICE will be arresting people that look like they will vote democrat. You can’t vote if you’re sitting in a cell overnight. States like California and Illinois might protect their citizens. But states like Georgia (which has a democratic senator up for reelection) likely will give ICE free reign.

  • Republicans were interfering with a president that was playing by the rules. And he was still able to get a lot more done than he is given credit for.

    Trump has thrown all rules out the window. At this point the only thing they can effectively do to stop him is impeach him and remove him from office.
