  • My wife and I spent Christmas in Costa Rica (it was amazing, and we are moving there as soon as reasonably possible), and we caught some European cold/flu thing from a group of people staying at the same hotel as us in Monteverde. 3 of them went to hospital from it while we were there.

So we spent NYE on the couch under covers. I did make a couple drinks to celebrate. She sneakily had 3 beers. Seriously, suddenly she was drunk and I had no idea she had had one beer!

  • Step 3 is “successfully blame democrats for turmoil”

  • The word “shift” is carrying all the weight known to man in this headline.

  • Wait, what!?

    WHAT!?

  • This is the perfect example of how completely fucked the US is. First, Trump’s fans either won’t see this or won’t care. They won’t care because many of them agree that eliminating the Democratic Party is a legit goal. Second, it shows that governing isn’t at all the goal, not that any intelligent person thought it ever was. The goal is winning at all costs. Finally, this (the “running” of this country) is all theater while people are losing their homes and parasites like Trumps entire cabinet are enriching themselves at a truly obscene pace.

None of this is exactly new info, of course, this one news tidbit just perfectly sums it all up. I don’t think the country’s going to fall apart in my lifetime, but the crest of its arc is well and fully behind us, I think.

  • Well look who underestimated the gullibility of the mob!

    Or…

Well look who shocked the people who didn’t vote for Trump by how dumb they’re not!

Ofc they’re gonna do all this shit anyway, b/c the King don’t care what the poors want.

  • All these posts about “[Musk|Trump] fanboys learn their hero is a greedy POS exactly like all the people they hate said they were” should really just go in c/leopardsatemyface

  • Not a tear jerker for me, but still easily one of the all time best endings for a show. Wonderful montage set to a perfect and beautiful song. After it aired, the next day, people at work were asking me how it ended but not wanting any spoilers. I just told them:

    Everyone dies at the end

  • For me, it’s at the end when she looks out of the limo at Joss as he’s saying he believes her. That scene so perfectly captures their relationship to me.

  • Came here for this. When he’s walking with his dad past all the people from his life smiling and saying goodbye, I always get serious feels. Had a little tremor just typing that out!

  • To me this is where communities having a maintained wiki is great. More than once it’s saved me from asking a question that’s already been answered a hundred times before.

  • Activities with people you are close to. The older i get, the more “stuff” i accumulate. I don’t ask for more stuff as gifts. I don’t need more stuff. However I have an infinite amount of space for memories of things I did with friends.

  • Those inspections are carried out by federal inspectors. The incoming administration wants to severely cut funding for pretty much “the government” (except the military). That means fewer inspectorsand less thorough inspections. That’s how things like the Boar’s Head thing, and listeria outbreaks in spinach happen. They’re happening more and more because of industrial farming processes coupled with more relaxed federal inspections.

  • Computer for sell.

    Still available?

    Sure.

Can I pick it up tomorrow?

    < >

  • And then when those same people sell their stuff…

  • Strangely, I deleted them and reuploaded. Now they display fine. Might need to play with this a bit more.

  • Favorite pic so far. Thanks!

  • Except for that rare cat that loves them. I have two!

  • This is a criminally underrated tip. Liquor boxes are seriously sturdy, and the size keeps you from overpacking them.
