  • flared base = reduced rope burns

  • My family knows me as the anti-apple IT Guy. So, it shocked everyone when I brought home a Best Buy open box Apple TV 4K (saved me $20US).

Honestly, this is my first Apple purchase since my ipod and I have to admit: it's good.

Roku has lost their way and my 3 Roku Ultra devices are all dying for reasons unknown (freezing, random reboots, spinning endlessly when trying to open an app). I'm just so done with them (and Nvidia) for my streaming hardware business.

  • lmao. I've been around FOSS long enough to remember when GIMP was considered a rip off of Photoshop much in the same light and Blender was a Maya rip off early on.

NP++ for Mac works, I'm running ut and it isn't plastic fake anymore than GIMP or Blender are. They fucked up in using the name though, it's not an official release.

  • CotEditor and BBEdit 15 are probably the best Mac alternatives that will fit most needs.

  • It's a real application that looks and works just like NP++, but it isn't NP++ and never will be as NP++ is heavily written using Win32 and C++.

NP++ would need a complete rewrite to work on anything other than Winblowz, which is what this Mac port is: a rewrite.

I think it's valid that they have to change the name, but the app itself isn't fake.

  • If I were forced to pick, I'd say it was caused by an inexperienced programmer using AI that caused this.

  • True, but downvoted posts get even less views.

I'm down voting because even a common HVAC tech could discredit this author into obscurity. This entire article is laced with assumptions probably as a result of improper AI use.

Edit: As a datacenter solutions architect I also can tell you this article is garbage as everything comes down to BTUs. The higher the electrical use, the higher the heat output resulting in the equivalent tons of cooling needed to negate it. Go look up 'BTU calculator' if you think I'm full of shit.

  • GPOs already suck and MS is forcing admins to adopt program rules out of Intune to get the same effect. See CoPilot GPO failures for further depth.

  • "The Crack Combo" sounds better.

Would you like any condiments or napkins for your KFC crack combo?

Yes. I'd like 3 BBQ, 3 honey and 15 crack packets please...

  • I grew up on a small farm doing this, but have since given up the practice in favor of tumbling composter bins for two distinct reasons:

    1. Rodents eventually live in 100% of them where rodents exist and it's immensely unhealthy to humans.
    2. Insects in general are attracted to them and I personally dislike giving certain invasive species any additional food sources.

Tumbling compost bins may not be as easy to maintain, but they definitely get rid of both undesirable insects and animals.

  • Sounds of air hissing out of a balloon.

  • Ah yes, when Germans are asked questions that can be taken literally.

  • Yup, I can confirm this as well: They taste like a dried up chicken that sat in the oven too long.

  • Male Peacocks change from being rather passive to immensely territorial during mating season. This is probably why it became hostile.

My neighbors raised Peafowl for over a decade as both food (meat) and feathers, which are rarher prized by clothier's and hobbiests.

Personally, I hate Peacocks; their mating calls go on all night long and will ultimately make everyone hate them.

Sincerely, listen to this and then imagine it repeating every 10-15 seconds literally all night long between April and September:

  • At this point I'm just outright blocking Beep@lemmus.org

Beep consistently keeps removing the artist from their posts and it's disgusting.
