    From 1986 to 2006, computers were improving in capabilities so rapidly that you would have to update your hardware every other year to keep up. That more or less stopped by 2009 or so.

  • Always makes me laugh when people talk big about how independent they are and how they're "taking care of their health." I know from experience that all it takes is one moment. Just one moment for your independence to be dragged out to the street and curb-stomped repeatedly through no fault of your own.
