  • Don't feel bad cute things can sneak a lot of shit by you. I was on board until I saw the ears on the back.

  • This smells like AI. Why does it look like the "opposum" has a 2nd set of ears growing out it's back, and how did they even take the first picture (I'm ignorant about trail cams so I could be missing something). Also the fur pattern on the cat's front paws and face don't match. In the first the booties go pretty high up on the leg and in the second the legs look entirely black. On the mouth/whiskers there is a clear cut out of the white on the face with the black coloring in the first picture, while in the second picture the entire mouth/whiskers area is white.

I fucking hate generative AI cause even if this is real I still have to question it.

  • Got any sources on that? I would love to learn about some new tech in electricity generation.

  • They learned nothing from the NFT/"Metaverse" hype cycle, but a century of hindsight might help. There's always going to be that golden goose that can make you insanely rich based on vague bullshit a lot of people don't fully understand.

  • But it'll work this time I swear /s

  • Yeah Librewolf does go really fucking hard on security/privacy to the detriment of functionality, but the are upfront with that so you shouldn't be going in completely blind. I think Water Fox is a nice happy medium for users that don't want to fuck around with technical stuff.

  • Or pick a Firefox fork that doesn't have the AI bullshit. Libre Wolf is great for people who take security very seriously,l. I hear Water Fox is a much closer equivalent to Firefox without AI, and also has a focus on privacy. I've also been using Iron Fox on my android with basically no issues.

With Mozilla's current track record I don't trust them to not fuck with the AI "killswitch".

  • I would guess the deletion hasn't propagated to all server instances so it's still showing up in those instances. I imagine that posts are truly deleted but just marked as such I the database. Therefore a down vote could still be attached to the now deleted post this incrementing the counter.

The good news is karma isn't a thing here so don't worry about getting extra down votes.

  • Is the cross section of a cone not a circle, or semi circle in this case since we only see part of the "cone"?

  • I immediately thought of this, and you beat me to it. Honestly it seems to be a very nuanced account of autism. It's certainly unusual but bro got great joy from watching ships and people only found it a bit odd.

  • At least she's real unlike the hotties desperate for sex in my local area.

  • You're not wrong but fuck you for pointing this out. Anyways have you heard about Linux?

  • Good point I was just trying to figure out a solution to identify a known bad actor without storing their PII

  • Person is reported by multiple people. Take hashes of there PII. If the person with the same PII tries to sign up, as stated in the article, don't let them sign up if some or all of the hashes match.

  • That's the point of hashing data. When it gets stolen it's very difficult to reverse the hash, assuming a good algorithm has been used.

  • You could hash the data, so you can keep a list of bad actors while keeping the data, relatively, private.

  • When halo killed all the alien and doesn't afraid of anything

  • I thought voluntary scanning was already on the books (this is what I gathered from the article)? What makes this version different?

  • I would believe it, those fuckers are smart and if they were social creatures I think they would be in competition with humans for the dominant species . This is an opinion of a person not super well versed on octopi so take this with a good size grain of salt.
