  • Clearly

  • Still pays to retain yet not have them become a Rat King

  • Serves u right

  • What room is this??

  • So much depends upon the box of cables.

Recently rediscovered this as I did some reorganization. This is also an opportunity to reaffirm Chesterton's Fence.

Dont get rid of a cord until you know what it goes with and you dont need the thing it goes with any longer. It takes up basically zero space if you twist tie it and place it in a special unknown cables box seperate from cables which you know or can easily visualy infer what they go with

  • "My heart goes out to" those dumb enough to do business with him. Cut from the same cloth as Trumpy

  • Sinema's lawyer, Steven Epstein

You cant make this shit up. Not that you should judge a person by their last name, but hilarious little coincidence here 🤣

    • much of unions' role is to consider threats to its members like automation and mtigate that.
    • If an employer can afford a full strike of its human employees than there's not much a union can do besides strike, sue, and lobby against it
    • how many employers (are there any??) can actually practically survive a full protracted strike and replace everyone fast enough that it doesnt put them severely in the hole if not outright killing their business.
    • customers will find a new source for what they relied on that company for and likely wont return
    • company will attract attention from politicians and lawyers wanting to get in on the action and train their targets on the company. This will likely produce law unfavorable to the company that becomes a new worse precedent for them possibly
    • You dont get to boss around robots or threaten loss of jobs to make localities and states and federal governments treat you favorably or gloss over your business'/personal crimes
  • Its called "Unions", they're pretty cool if imperfect. No worse than unfettered employers in "capitalism"

Anyone who's against unions should be against and refuse to work for any employer with an HR + Legal departments cuz serious employers generally dont dare operate without those resources to manage their risk and compliance

  • Ya, all that will have to come out as part of the Defense if he want the aquittal.

    Its certainly possible

  • Is there a bullshit crime of passion defense besides the self-defense angle (cousin punched perp)

Thats is or used to be a thing in stereotypicalky "passionate" locales Italy or Spain or something

    • one dead victim, perp is alive and in custody
    • They are cousins
    • perpSays: they were drinking all day
    • perpSays: victim started a fight over who's enchilada was spicier (enchiladas were made from same batch so they couldnt be differently spicy)
    • perpSays: victim punches perp (perp probably has defensive wounds or some other indicia)
    • perp shoots victim
    • perpSays: victim has threatened his life before (this is after the fact to a presumably familial witness)

    viable self-defense case? U decide

  • I cant look

  • Because it makes it easier to control them. Pro-social behavior should be valued and prioritzed but there is also a risk people become too people-pleasing and are not taught to protect themselves and importantly not how to be an "asshole" when necessary.

All three are necessary but the last is its own form of dark magic everyone must develop to some extent. Boundaries are observed and learned, they dont just appear out of nowhere and there is usually unconscious opposition where reality diverges from expectation and expectation must be realigned with what the ground rules of engagement be
