After it aired, the White House described South Park as a "fourth-rate" show that was "hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention".
Fourth-rate, but Paramount gave them $1.5 billion and only gave you $15 million, so what does that make you?
I did it (we called it 6x12s) for about 2-3 years in my 30s. At the time it felt worth it; food, lodging, and transportation were all covered as well. I don’t really regret it most days but looking back years later I think it may have damaged friendships more than I’d realized until recently.
There’s no fucking way I’d do it now. Now I’m just one bad day away from rage quitting and retiring. Unfortunately I’m in a great position with a great boss and a reasonable work load and ample coverage and support and never been denied time off so that bad day isn’t likely to come anytime soon.
“Mosquito Dunks” in a bucket of water. The water attracts females to lay eggs in the bucket. The “dunks” have a bacteria in them that kills the larva after the eggs hatch preventing further generations from maturing.
I put about a quarter of a disk in each bucket and set them up around the yard in problem areas. Need to add more dunk about once a month.
There is a “Mosquito Bits” which is a granulated version of the same thing that might work if you still have ponds but I’m not familiar with the exact dosage
I definitely prefer Lemmy’s topic driven approach to Mastodon’s personality driven approach.
But that could come down to how I use Mastodon (and Twitter before it with a third party algorithm free app) which is to follow people that share good/interesting content and post with hashtags for visibility.
ETA: …and I refuse to use X, Reddit, or Facebook (or any of its alter egos)…
Same - I’m super confused now. I don’t know what I can do anymore. I thought I just crossed my eyes until the images overlap but when I do that I’m seeing a hole too…so I guess not?
