  • Of course you can buy a 15 year old console for $50 or something like this. But will it run any modern games? Obviously no.

I can also probably buy a 15 year old PC for the same price, install Linux and use it as a daily driver and maybe even run some modern Indie games.

So really not sure what's your point in this discussion when you change the starting point...

  • Yeah cool, but the meme is about modern gaming...

  • if you only have a console

... then your an idiot in the first place.

If you spent $700+ on a gaming only device that you can't use for most "PC activities" (office, banking, browsing the web, etc), than you obviously set your priorities wrong.

Most indie games run on 10 year old budget laptops/PCs and you can get them definetly cheaper than a console.

  • is that Apple silicon is just too good

    1. Pay TSMC a shit ton of money to be first in line
    2. Make your mouse chargeable from the underside and make the laptop so small that the fans will never be able to remove the heat for more than 5 minutes
    3. Price your product 3x what it's worth
    4. People buy it anyway because they claim that they were chosen by Steve Jobs as messiah
    5. Repat every 5 years
    6. Profit
  • Why do 50 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and some unincorporated islands play against a country.

    That sounds very unfair...

  • Wikipedia - is as always - doing a great job at gathering info and they wrote down what the party's policies are.

IMHO what they propose makes no sense:

    • (Massively) cut taxes
    • Reimmigration
    • Reduce the normal work week by 25%

How is that economy supposed to work? Where do you get the money from to finance this? Who should offset the missing work?

A $500k donation can bankroll your party for some time but certainly not an entire country...

  • you dont put raw uranium into a fission reactor

Yes that's why Germany built enrichment facilities years ago: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urananreicherungsanlage_Gronau

US can not be considered as a reliable partner any more. Canada of course, but why rely on a dependancy?

    1. Germany had no active nuclear power plants for 3 years now.
    2. I think companies pretty much don't care where they get their ore from as long as that country is not on a sanction list.
  • Okay are the "power plants that leaked thousands of tons of irradiated water into the environment" on this map? Because I see none there.

  • That is a map of reactors in europe. What has that to do with your claim?

  • In fact: a vast part of German nuclear technology derives from Russia

In what reality do you live? Did you forget that all nuclear plants (ignore the single one in East Germany that was immediately shut down after reunification) were built in West Germany?

Yeah they definetly stole all that Russian Soviet technology from the exploded reactor that lacked a freaking containment back in the 80s....

  • all power plants along the rhine river leaked thousands of tobs of irradiated water into the environment, same goes for those at the neckar. those are the ones i know for a fact.

Do you actually have proof/a source for that?

  • Cool, cool. Keepass(XC) has exactly the same features.

    1. After reading the report: To me this sounds not really credible. Stabilising and aiming a quadcopter outside is difficult and doing that with a weapon a dozen meters away pointing at a child is even harder. And why just target children with it? The group of persons that will likely get you into very bad publicity? The whole report is also based on 5 alleged cases (in one case the kid was run over by a car?). There is also no image of a CT scan, photographic evidence of a quadcopter with a gun or other evidence anywhere in the report. I think that it's more likely these have been "normal" deaths and a quadcopter was only present in the area.
    2. The only posts of you to this community are about Gaza. Looks like a violation of rule #5 to me. Maybe posts such stuff inside the corresponding communities but not here.
  • KISS: Just use something that works using files like KeePass and sync it via WebDAV, OneDrive, Floppy disks or whatever.

I'm not sure why anyone - to this day - keeps using these hosted/remote password manager crapware in the first place.
