  • In thst case the best call would be screening for symptoms and possibly including sex hormones in any regular blood tests. The symptoms are necessary for the diagnosis because plenty of people are fine at below average levels

  • Article says it will be optional, but I suspect it will be "optional"

  • They feel weak and vulnerable and are reaching to testosterone for the solution instead of emotional maturity

  • As someone who takes hormones, I don't understand why so many people are getting into taking supplemental hormones without symptoms of deficiency or something like being trans or into steroids. It's inconvenient at best.

And yeah, I suspect we're going to find an outbreak of gynecomastia in the military because of this.

  • At the same time it's not helpful for those struggling there. Discipline is built up by the practice of doing. I have ADHD too and when I build up dread I get worse task avoidance, but when I do a little bit and keep building on the bits I do it gets easier.

  • I'll say that I only touch command line when I want to on nobara (I hear bazzite is the same). In general the days of command line being necessary are over

  • Yeah I've long said these could be a useful accessibility tool for those of us who can't hear

  • I quit Facebook when I realized I was mostly seeing things I didn't want to see and it was making me like the people I knew less. That was like 15 years ago

  • I've also found that it helps when I celebrate solstices and equinoxes. Acknowledging and participating in each season keeps them from flying by

  • I feel sad for the male prostitutes of DC for their loss in income

  • Also you'll get framed for murder there

  • I'm sticking with Robertson where I can. It's so much better

  • Yeah, now that I think about it the closest I can think of to that is a lesbian spy movie. Y'all deserve some hypermasculine gay action movies! And not the "oh we decided to queer the genre" crap, no you deserve a "yeah we just kept always being surprised by movies in the genre where as a twist the guy who seems solely interested in the masculine side of life winds up with a woman, and so we decided not to do that."

  • But also, sometimes it isn't a mask, it's just that a person doesn't come off particularly gay. I'm not one of those people by a long shot, my whole style comes off lez as fuck (especially when I femme it up) and IDK how I'd even start to try to come off as less gay, but I've had plenty of friends and mentors who are being exactly themselves you'd only know they're queer because they told you.

Hell it was a thing in my family to joke about how my uncle was the most generically masculine man in the family, meanwhile he'd spent most of his adult life heavily involved in queer community and activism. Meanwhile his husband read as gay from across the room.

  • Speaking as someone who used to live in a city that's on that line: yes

Or you can break it down by city or county instead, some states already do it by county. If you know that Columbus is an hour later than Zanesville or that it's an hour earlier than Springfield, will it be disruptive? Sure, but it's the sort of thing people who live on time zone lines get used to. People in Indianapolis go to Chicagoland fairly often despite being in different time zones.

Really what drives me nuts is that it's arbitrarily shifted. Kentucky and Indiana are split when they could just all be central without issue. But hey, at least we aren't doing time zones as badly as Spain

  • We should just reset our time zones to be straight lines while we're at it

  • As someone who works too damn early, please let's be sensible and do permanent standard time.

I'm sorry Canada, you're usually right, but you're wrong about this

  • How about 47c?

  • Every day for the past decade. Why?
