  • Pelosi is wrong about Sanders. But she did not "enrich herself".

Bernie is literally quoted in the article saying "Nancy is a friend of mine".

  • Pelosi is wrong. But she is not the owner of the DNC. The DNC is controlled by delegates elected by primary voters. The DNC is not a person or monolithic entity.

  • If the people had rallied far more before the election, it could have convinced enough ignorant fence sitters.

The exact same thing happened in 2016. Huge rallies a few days after Clinton lost. If those same street rallies had come a few days BEFORE the election, she probably would have won.

  • The unfortunate truth is that a Trump win is relevant to our long term survival as a species.

You actually missed the biggest thing of all. Trump's new world disorder is going to create an explosion of nuclear proliferation. In the new environment, countries can no longer rely on the US nuclear umbrella as they have for the past 70 years. Every country will rightly want to have their own nuclear weapons now. And the shear amount of new countries that are going to have their own nuclear weapons is going to guarantee a disaster sooner or later.

  • Dems and Reps are both corporatists

Here's why we know this is bullshit. Reps keeping cutting corporate taxes. Biden raised corporate taxes. Harris was going to raise them more.

Saying someone is a 'corporatist' is a meaningless generality. Focusing on tax rates always provides crystal clarity on whether the label is real or not. Cutting their taxes is the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd top priority of corporations. If they cannot get a politician to do that, they don't control that politician.

  • CBS morning news would always start off with a Trump droning sound bite EVERY FUCKING DAY. And then maybe a 3rd of the time they would play a Harris clip, but always after the mandatory Trump sound bite clip. Even though their viewers did not want to hear Trump.

  • Kamala Harris was the chosen one of the elite.

She was the chosen one of the elected delegates. Just because somebody is elected as a party delegate does NOT make them an "elite". Fuck that shit. It doesn't take a lot of money to be a delegate. It mainly just takes a lot of commitment.

  • a rich minority woman from California.

She worked at McDonald's growing up. Trump was the rich guy. Anybody not liking Harris because they thought she was "rich" was an idiot. She likely has far less net worth than most presidential candidates do.

  • Extended Support Release,

Hey thanks for the info. I didn't know about this.

  • How does that help with unwanted update nagging?

  • Doesn't work. Firefox keeps nagging me to update every freaking time I open the browser. Now if they let me turn the nagging off it wouldn't be so bad.

I want an update once per quarter, not once per week. Only more often than that if there is a critical security fix.

  • Why the heck did Mozilla need 120 employees for anyway? I hate that Firefox is updated so often because I always get Firefox Update Fatigue. I hope that fewer employees means fewer Firefox updates.

  • Yes. I can't imagine being foolish enough to automatically update your external dependencies when you don't need to.

  • Trump is a garbage man. He's a garbage delivery man.

  • Yes. Sounds like the law itself is flawed.

  • The point of including worldwide stock is to reduce risk in case the US has a recession, as not all other countries will be affected by that.

This seems to be generally no longer true.

  • Companies should not even be issuing future "earnings expectations". They mean little and warp the market. Drives me crazy when I hear financial talk about "future p/e'. It's just a fake number. The only real p/e ratio is the trailing p/e ratio.

  • Bogleheads three fund portfolio (total US stock + total world stock + bonds) is very simple yet will beat most actively-managed portfolios over the long run.

This is right. But you don't really need the 'total world stock'. I reduced my allocation of that to 2% because it was dragging down my returns.

  • The law only cares what they do to other companies.

Apple doesn't allow other companies to have their own app stores. Which google already did allow, they just didn't make it easy to install one.

Apple is MUCH worse in restricting app stores. It makes no sense that Apple can continue to get away with their far worse restrictions than google. On the positive side this will make Android even better and more attractive to consumers vs AOS than it already was.
