  • Positively turbulent

  • Absolutely adorable

  • The state’s allowed to ban the company from the roads if they bother too many people or officials—a fairly enormous stick.

Make the whole world’s governments mad? Investors won’t be too happy. Huggge stick.

It does break from our “one immediate fine/ticket for one infraction” paradigm so I understand why it looks bad.

Gosh can you imagine if they drop our numbers from ~seven Californians killed on our roads every day to [far] fewer… (guy can dream, obvy they’re not perfect)

  • One small semi-relevant data point (not commercial though):

In San Jose, California (1hr south of San Francisco), they might occasionally audit residential recycling containers to make sure folks aren’t dumping trash. Drive around early before pickup.

  • Thank you—too few give tardigrades the respect they deserve

…wow like autocorrect on Apple’s iOS for instance

  • Right on & what a coast it is!

  • (not parent commenter) May I word-nerd with you OP? Nice post btw.

OK with your permission, which region? & I believe -

You have a sweet new setup. A sweet new nginix setup! You spent time getting nginix set up. Now you can say you finally set up nginix as a reverse proxy. You’re proud of the setup.

  • Interesting. In contrast, wouldn’t work at a major US music festival -

by the time you’ve to grabbed the intruding hand, your phone/wallet has already been handed to an accomplice (and perhaps then to another one).

  • Apps watch how we move/rotate devices to understand whether we’re walking, resting, lying down, etc., I assume? (The most popular apps I mean with large data teams)

Wish that stuff could be turned off unless it was e.g. a game that made legitimate use of the accelerometer.

  • :)

Top web search results for “adblock test”—the top two, both, are usually good to both run (though I’ve never been too scientific about it)! One tries to show ads for your review, the other gives a % blocked.

  • Requires just about the latest iOS (18.6)

Also - Apple seems to be hiding it from search results on the App Store even though I found it a week ago!

  • 🚀 🦅 ✨

  • Yo that was an absolute joke. Were they serious with that?

Windows handled gifs fine for years then suddenly only the first frame. Seriously?!
