  • Thank you so much! Weirdly enough (and the parts diagram you sent confirms this), my rifle seems to be running some completely different trigger system to the ones I see everywhere on the web, so I think the best choice will really be to just get a replacement trigger box. It'll make any future replacements that much easier too, since it will actually be possible to buy compatible sears. Thank you for the 3D printer idea! I do have a friend who has one, so I'll model and print a new sear to try and see if it's the sear causing all this.

  • I couldn't believe the numbers and a simple lookup on Wikipedia confirmed the horrors - all golf courses in the U.S. together use approximately 2.5bn gallons A DAY for irrigation. That is such an insanely high number.

  • i think the picture in the post might have been run through some ai filter. the plates, cups, etc. have those characteristic ai "smudges" on them, and i can't say that the hand looks any more correct. i'm just wondering why would somebody bother putting this through such filter, unless that was done automatically by some random software

  • Browsers can't autoplay video and audio without the user's permission, and that permission is given via input events, mainly the click event. When you press the 'continue' button, you send a click event to the browser, which grants the script permission to play audio.

    There is likely an event listener on the 'continue' button that when pressed simply runs the audio script, which is allowed under autoplay rules (user interacted with the page). Not sure if that's actually the case since I'm currently on a phone and my internet connection is pure dogwater so I can't even get past the continue button.
