  • That walled garden has a huge welcome mat and door.

Imagine if you or your kids walk into a toys store and you are asked for your credentials just to get in and if you want to buy a game you have to provide your telephone number and tell them where you live. The huge welcome sign outside the store are ads auzy

  • my point it that they fucked you over, you paid for games you don't own

  • Why not mention WHY he’s successful

Because he's the ceo of a for profit american tech corporation that managed to hook up people into a proprietary walled garden that over the years developed into a close-like monopoly

  • they’ve never personally fucked me over.

Do you own any of the games you bought on steam?

  • No other company has invested more in trying to free our PC games from Microsoft either. On top of that, Valve’s investment still benefits the entire FOSS ecosystem.

valve main product is a proprietary third party software launcher, there's nothing foss about it. They started seriously investing in linux only the moment microsoft become their direct competitor in the videogames industry.

  • pro consumer policies that Steam has

I would argue a proprietary third party launcher to play your games and DRMs are the opposite of pro consumer.

  • This person is a billionare who own an entire fleet of mega yachts, his money mostly come from a proprietary third party software launcher where people don't own their games. You shouldn't trust this guy more than you trust facebook or amazon ceos.

  • We also have an information problem. As long as we debate fundamental problems on centralized platforms through memes nothing ever will be resolved. Stop upvoting this shit please and share better content.

  • Sounds like the US use gifts, pins and burner phones to spy on foreign governments

  • there are more than two parties you can vote for

  • you establish other parties and candidates by talking about them and giving them exposure

  • Both Sider’s are wasting everyone’s time and causing more harm than good.

How the fuck are they causing any harm when the red and blue party have been cycling in power for the past century and are the source of all the issues?

There is also no even remotely viable 3rd party and absolutely, positively will not be by 2028. So again, you are wasting everyone’s time with nonsense.

I would argue that this logic is causing way more harm and non sense because any party can win the elections.

  • You shouldn't vote for people who endorse a genocide or who are part of organizations that endorse one.

  • do you wear your independent badge with honor in obscurity?

"obscurity" is the result of these two parties and the government spending billions of public money in propaganda.

AOC isn't on the fediverse and use X and meta

  • Who are you going to vote for at the republicans primaries?

  • If you are concerned with momentum you should endorse someone who is on the fediverse and not on meta or x. On proprietary, centralized, for profit platforms the momentum is controlled and scripted.

  • Both parties are pro genocide either here or abroad, but

    i don't support a genocide but...

No, for the same reason there's not a good republican there's no a good democrat. These parties are guilty of supporting a genocide among other hundreds of crimes they have backed. Vote and support someone else.

  • There are other parties than red and blue, instead of talking and giving exposure to the lesser evil candidates start talking about the actual good alternatives.
