  • I was listening to some of this exchange on NPR earlier. What strikes me is that the justices apparently can't make a decision on the unconstitutionality of this stupid EO until a case makes it to them, when this case is obviously a part of the very same issue. I understand why, because without a check we'd be at severe risk of judicial overreach, but in this case, allowing SCOTUS to come out and say "Unconstitutional thing is unconstitutional" just seems like the normal and correct thing to do.

  • Samsung TVs have a Plex app, but not a Jellyfin one. Lots of people have Samsung TVs. I mean lots. Other modern TVs are likely the same, like Onn (at least the Roku TVs) last time I checked, and again they are all over. The ease-of-use factor really is a huge win for Plex.

    Edit: Yes, Samsung Tizen models can try and sideload an app, but that's not something the vast majority of people are ever going to even think about, let alone figure out how to accomplish.

    Edit 2: Well shiver me timbers, Jellyfin's on those Onn TV's. TIL.

    It was free, online, in easily downloadable and ingestible form. People that read it were saying quite loudly that it was a Very Bad Thing, and got told they were overreacting or suffering from TDS.

    Anyone curious about what else to expect need only read P2025. They fucking told us. Avoiding this was so damn easy if more people would only pay attention. And we're doing away with our education system being of any future use, so that's another thing to look forward to.

    When a fascist runs for office, you don't vote them in. We failed so hard and the consequences haven't even caught up yet.
