  • Yeah, I wrote them off long ago, but I was recently pressed for time and they were right there. I was shocked at the price. Other than the fries, everything else is average, with the worst, cheapest buns in the biz.

    The fries are legit, though. Classic Boardwalk-style fries, especially with malt vinegar.

  • Lately, instead of picking up a fast food buyer and fries for $13, I've been going to Chili's. They have a $10.99 special that is a REAL bacon cheeseburger, excellent fries, and a drink, and it even includes a salad or a cup of soup. With tax and tip, it's $15.

    The last time I went to 5 Guys, it was $24.50, and it wasn't nearly as good.

    Has this guy ever actually met someone with autism? I've known autistic kids who weren't verbal or even seemingly aware of their surroundings, but I have also known autistic kids that were extremely high functioning, and you would never know they were autistic unless they told you.

    And then of course there are those in the middle, at every point on the SPECTRUM. We've all met that Aspy kid who is obsessed with a subject, and could talk about it endlessly. I once had a long, very enjoyable discussion with a Cub Scout in my son's pack about Star Wars, before his mother rushed up and said "Are you talking about Star Wars again? What did I tell you about bothering people? He doesn't want to hear about that." Then she apologized to me. That's when I said, "It's okay, I love Star Wars. I started the conversation when I saw his Star Wars T-Shirt. I could talk about Star Wars all day."

    The other day, I had a long discussion with an awkward young guy about my favorite obsession, Music, and it was his as well. Eventually we parted, and I wondered if he was autistic, and Music was his obsession. Then I thought about how obsessed I am about music, and wondered if I don't have a touch of autism myself.

    Putting all autistics into the same bucket does them and society a disservice. Many are perfectly capable of holding jobs and living fulfilling lives. If the government declares all neurodivergents to be a drain on society, then it opens them up to vicious discrimination in every corner of society. That would be a terrible shame, because I often find those obsessive awkward people to be very interesting and endearing. You want to know about a subject? Find an autistic person who loves it, and they'll share everything they know. I love that.

  • Signing up the MAGA faithful is the perfect way to destroy the operation from within. They think that loyalty is more important than competence, and that will be their eventual undoing.

They honestly believe that EVERYBODY working for the government is a lazy incompetent parasite who does nearly nothing at work all day, and what little they do is fucked up. Surely a MAGA Moron can do just as good a job, and be loyal at the same time.

    America (amd the Democratic world) has been at war with Russia since 1918, whether you want to admit it or not. This was an unarguable fact by EVERYONE ON THE PLANET for the entire 20th century.   • Except that its all documented history. Just because its a conspiracy doesn't mean it isn't true. Plenty of conspiracies have been true, and Russia's long-term targeting of America has long been documented. It's not like it's a secret.

  • He's right, but for the wrong reasons.

    He never should have been running against HitlerPig. On the day after his Inauguration, he should have had HitlerPig and his henchmen rounded up and sent to Guantanamo Bay for extensive interrogation. We knew then how much he was involved with Putin, and that alone would have been enough reason.

    But then there was also the Insurrection, which was enough justification. Then the stolen documents and the False Lectors Scheme would have been uncovered, and more people would have been arrested.

    Then they could have had congressional hearings about the 14th Amendment/Section 3, and officially identified those involved with the Insurrection, including spreading The Big Lie that made it possible, and at least 50% of Congressional Republucans would have been rendered ineligible to hold office, and many of them would have gone to jail.

    Instead, Biden appointed the weakest Republican in existence to go after them, and he dicked around for months, giving HitlerPig a two year head start in running out the clock. They continued to treat HitlerPig's open criminality like it was a legitimate political difference, when it wasn't. It was full-blown treason, and he was allowed to get away with it, simply because he was rich, and because Democrats are even more cowardly than Republicans.

    IF there is another election (which i highly doubt), the Democratic candidate needs to put punishment of HitlerPig and his criminal gang as their top priority. MAGA must be crushed and purged from our government. It can't be allowed to fester, and poison the efforts to return America, and the world, back to normal.
