The monthly fees cover all living expenses except medicine, and given they state there's discounts for seniors, it still isn't a crazy amount.

I've... Literally never heard anybody using the friend network as a reason to use steam. Most games with multiplayer have some way for you to connect with people outside of your steam friends.

Also, the person being offended usually isn't even from the target culture. They're being vicariously offended on behalf of somebody else, when the actual members of that culture usually dgaf or like it.
And no, this isn't happening with normal monitors just those with an OS.

Edit: In fact, AFAICT, the model which they explicitly investigated and reproduced this issue on does not have an OS. So unless I'm mistaken about that, you just pulled this info out of your ass.
I browse one niche community weekly, though I don't comment or post. Lemmy isn't entirely there yet, though it's certainly caught up in the drama department.
