  • He looks like the thumbs up boy from the ancient meme.

  • I never said it had to be an app or a card in your phone’s wallet, although it’s not a bad idea. Passports have chips now. I just think it doesn’t need to be a booklet anymore.

  • Nah. My mother had to stay more than two hours in a line in Atlanta’s immigration because the system went down.

  • Why are passports still a booklet? Everything is digital now. We don’t need stamps or visas in the passport anymore. It serves no purpose.

  • This is even more interesting if you notice that Americans use fractions a lot, maybe even more than countries with metric system. It’s 1/2 pound, 5/8 inch, 3/4 mile and so on. Countries with metric system just change the units. Typically we don’t say 1/2 km, we say 500m.

  • I’ve told this story before, about our last fax server.

Work -> PDF -> send fax -> receive fax -> PDF -> work

  • My first thought was “either Hollywood lied to me (SHOCKING) or the current 747 has a series of defenses, flares, electronic countermeasures, and what not that this new plane doesn’t have”.

  • Thanks god nothing bad happened. (It happened) Thanks god it was not bad. (It was bad) Thanks god they didn’t die. (They died) Well, it was god wish.

  • We need to include the Cold War and the nuclear crisis to the list.

  • Considering it’s Florida, yeah I’m a bit surprised. Thankful, but a bit surprised.

  • That’s more or less the time I started using Linux.

  • But… that’s not the right way. Are you saying the ISO8601 violates ISO8601?

    • so, apparently not I just whooshed, I didn’t even noticed the dates are ambiguous.
  • There’s a shoe store near me. It stands alone in an almost non walkable part of a street. I never see a car in the parking lot. It’s always open and it has been there for, like, 15 years or more. It’s impossible that that store is profitable.

  • Oops

  • With some variations, used already a few times in games and series.

  • Meanwhile French Quebec curse words are entirely made of religious words.

Hosti de sacrifice de câlice de tabarnak!!!

  • Is this a reference to The Wall?

  • I suppose they sent the requests so they could sell the cars cheaper than the competitors when the rebate is cancelled.

  • Probably all of them are fraud. A friend bought a Tesla last year and they said Tesla DOESN’T do the paperwork for the EV rebate. The client must go after it and pocket the money. All other dealers do the job for you.

  • The blood of their enemies!!!
